  1. I don't use the brush very much either. Now and then when there are fuzzies in veining left by a spiral blade it comes in handy.
  2. Not even close to the same. I had one of those ball from HF. Didn't use it long. Didn't care for it a bit. The one I use has sandpaper and scotch bright pad and sandpaper. They come in 60, 100 and 150 grit. This is my assortment currently.
  3. What size blade did you use on the veining?
  4. The ones I am using I use every day and they are over six months old. I use the 100 grit most of the time. The 60 grit I use a lot for shaping intarsia pieces. After they are used for a bit they are not near as aggressive as the grit indicates. For me they aren't as apt to grab my work as a mop is. I don't use them as much on baltic birch fret work. On that I like to lay my piece flat on my bench and run over it with a mop chucked up in my cordless drill.
  5. Kevin, I have sanding mops and mac mops but this is my go to in several grits. Takes a bit to break them in. https://www.woodworkingshop.com/product/fw98069/
  6. I've had my Pegas Scroll band saw for about a week and love it.
  7. I have a 10" Dewalt Slider and like it. I would hate to have to carry it around much. Cutting wide boards is a must for me.
  8. That is crazy good Dick. Love the design.
  9. I tracked it and it was sitting at the Old Dominion Freight center about ten minutes from my house. I called them Wednesday Evening and got it scheduled for a Thursday delivery. Thanks again.
  10. I really doubt it. I would guess it would take almost as much to resharpen as it would to make new. I would imagine mine will be broke by the time it need sharpened.
  11. Very nice edge. I think there might be a few problems cutting puzzles. I don't think you can back the blade up very much. It won't turn quite as sharp as I can on my scroll saw. I will sure give it a try and let you know. The dust collection on it is excellent.
  12. When I first started I did outside shows. Never again. I got tired of fighting the elements. There are plenty of inside shows around my area. Glad you made your expenses.
  13. Awesome pattern and cutting. I love the way you framed it.
  14. Last week I ordered a Pegas Band Saw from @Denny Knappen. As I expected, nothing but excellent customer service. I received it today. It's all set up and I am cutting with it. Each size blade you have to have matching guide bearings. The bottom one is kind of a pain in the butt to change. I put a #5 blade and bearing on it which is the smallest it will accommodate. I imagine I will just leave that one on. I've made a few test cuts and I am totally happy with it. I've been doing a lot of intarsia, that's why I bought it. It will cut any hardwood like butter. I tested it on Wenge and it amazed me how easy it cut. If you do a lot of intarsia I would strongly recommend one.
  15. I'd like to see the bird this came from.
  16. Totally awesome! I do remember them. I'm sure he loves it.
  17. Very nice job! The colors look great!
  18. Great idea.
  19. I never had luck using glue either. I know @Jim Finnuses white glue.
  20. Great pattern and cutting. Love your framing.
  21. Nice job! I really love the bamboo. Is it ply or solid?
  22. Being you have a wearable wood cowboy hat I think you need how to make wearable boots to go with it.
  23. Looks great! I wish my first were that good. You should be super proud. I would like to make one suggestion. Work on covering up your entry holes a bit better. There are two different methods I use although there are many. An easy product to use is Timbermate Filler. If I don't have the correct color I use shellac and sawdust. Without me blowing them up they look perfect.
  24. Very nice pattern and cutting.
  25. That is totally awesome!
