  1. Wow! That totally sucks. I sure can't give you any advise.
  2. How about a picture so we can see how it looks.
  3. When gluing up Padauk you should also wipe it down with acetone to clean off the oil so the glue bonds well.
  4. Thanks to you and your wife for the compliments. Sound like maybe you should make her one.
  5. I got the basic design from @OCtoolguy but put my own spin on it.
  6. Yours was awesome with the intarsia flower on top. I didn't want to be a total copy cat.
  7. Thanks. I mess up on the top and didn't get the grain lined up with the design. I don't think most people with notice but I sure did after the fact.
  8. A couple of years ago @OCtoolguy posted a box similar to this that I really liked so I have had to make a few. I used sapele and maple with velvet drawer inserts.
  9. I will be buying Jet from now on. Customer service is rated better and a better warranty.
  10. Anxious to see how they work out.
  11. I like the features that their equipment has but customer service is bad. I work in my shop every day all day and I am grouchy old man when I have a piece of equipment that is broke down. Good luck getting your lathe going.
  12. I really like my Dewalt and have had it for about 5 years and use it a lot. A month or so ago I saw grizzly had it with the helical head for I think $1050. Don't see it now. I buy my blades from China for about $25. Been real happy with them. Can buy a lot of blades for the cost of the head. I've heard the helical head is a lot quieter which would be a good thing.
  13. Laguna. Sept. I also bought $150 carbide tip band saw blade from them that has 3 teeth missing....I'm also waiting to hear what they are going to do about that.
  14. I might not have been clear on the conveyor belt drive motor. I is supposed to be plugged into the control box which has the speed restate and on off switch. When it quit working I started to trouble chute. That's when I discovered the conveyor motor had a regular plug so I plugged it into the wall. There wasn't enough play where the saw mounted to the table to be able to square it up.
  15. Less than two years ago I bought a new table saw. Love the saw but I discovered the blade was not square with the table and there was no way to fix it. It took me almost six months to get it replaced. Last Wednesday my drum sander shot craps and it is just shy of two years. Took until Friday for a technician to contact me. The drive motor on the conveyor quit. He said it was probably a circuit board and not to plug the motor into the wall that it was a DC motor and it could damage it. I never even thought about that. Who in the hell would manufacture a product and put a 110 plug on it if it isn't made to plug into the wall. The technician will not return my emails. I have no idea if any parts are available or not. The tough part is that I use it every day.
  16. If you are looking to purchase a new table saw or drum sander I would recommend that you check out the company with the better business burau. If you have problems with it service can be a total nightmare.
  17. Glad to hear from you. That would sure be a tough project to get those miters to fit well. Hope the best for you and your wife.
  18. Sometimes in the summer we don't see much of him but usually in the winter he is pretty active on here. Hope he's OK
  19. Seams to be working fine. I did replace it.
  20. On my Pegas I like top feeding the best. I have the top of my table scratched up a bit around the hole from moving my work around to find the hole. After I line up the first hole the next one is pretty easy. The only real problem I have is that the bottom of the blade ends up like a hockey stick so I end up bottom feeding. If any of you can suggest a fix for this please speak up.
  21. Commissioned box from a good client. Maple and nogal.
  22. Google public domain photos.
  23. You sure made a conversation piece. Nice job for sure.
  24. I got a roll of it once to try and had a heck of s time getting it off the roll. Ended up throwing it away. Maybe I should try it again.
