  21. Len, I used 1/2" Baltic birch for the backer and 1/8" for the lettering on both of them. dave
  22. Welcome! I started scrolling last November. I also started with the Porter Cable also. Make sure you buy some good blades. If you really get hooked and can afford it you will be ready to upgrade before long. dave
  23. Since we will be headed back to Bloomington Illinois (home of the redbirds) soon....... I thought it would be appropriate to use my new found passion to design a Redbird plaque. This was my first attempt using different sized letters in the same word. It took me a while but it was fun. I'm learning a bit every day. By the time I do it again I will probably have to relearn it. This old brain forgets pretty quick. They measure 18" x 4 1/2". dave
