  7. Boy, I don't remember Dave. I do know it was in Canada. Sheila Landry recommended it quite some time ago. You might check her website.
  8. Very well done, DW. Nice clean lines.
  9. Congrats, Paul. We had our fiftieth last September.
  10. Good questions, Dave. When the project was complete, I immersed it in a sanding sealer, 50% Shellac and 50% Denatured Alcohol. After dried, buffed lightly with a Mac Mop, then sprayed with Shellac. If your question is where did I purchase the Mac Mop, Klingspors.
  11. Yes, Dave, but with a light sanding with the Mac Mop, nice and smooth.
  12. Thanks, Dan. I questioned using red, but it does stand out.
  13. My wife's step sister and husband are celebrating their 50th anniversary. I thought this would make a great gift. The pattern is by Sue Mey and purchased from her website. I used 1/4" Cherry plywood and backed it with 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood staind red with Samen stain. It is approximately 9" in diameter. The blades were FD New Spiral #3/0 and UR #1. The finish is one coat of sanding sealer and one coat of spray Shellac. Using the water based Samen stain eliminated the gluing problem. Comments welcome.

  17. The only problem with deviating on straight lines and circles, it really shows.
  18. Very nice, Jerry. Adding color really shines.
  19. Yes, Don, we pay 9.75% sales tax, but we do not have an income tax. There are other benefits like truck license. In MN I paid $250 per year. Here in TN only $25.
  20. Thanks for all the nice comments and bringing back old memories.
  21. Thanks Melanie. I asked many customers ad very few remember these characters. It is a memory maker for us old guys.
