  1. Thanks for a great pattern, Don.
  2. I finished this on Monday, July 4th. The pattern is by our own DonR and purchased from his website. The wood is 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood 10" x 12" and backed with a black mat. I used FD New Spiral #1. There is a large cutout in the center which made it very fragile, so I cut it last and replaced it while sanding. There is on coat of 50% BLO and two coats of spray Shellac. I framed it at ArtCrafters. Comments welcome.
  3. Very nice display case.
  4. Now that is sweet cuuting on a fragile project.
  5. Best to you on the show. The pup looks great.
  6. Fortunately only a knick. The custom furniture maker behind us invested in a Saw Stop. He says it works from experience.
  7. Super pattern and cutting.
  8. Another source is Sloan's here in TN.
  9. Welcome to the forum from TN. Would love to see the necklaces.
  10. Very nice clean cuts. It should be well appreciated.
  11. I am not a Halloween peson, but thanks for posting.
  12. Well done, Dave.
  13. Well done, Helmut. Looks like you could get right in and ride.
  14. Well done, Dave, both on the pattern and cutting.
  15. As a custom framer, 1/4" plywood is fine. Most rabbits are at least 3/8" deep. I use 1/8" for the backer and no glass.
  16. When you look at the example in the magazine, Paul used quarter sawn Sycamore. It looks like the grain is vertical. That must have been a wide board!
  17. Thanks all for the nice comments. For our 50th, we are planning a time on Anna Marie Island FL.
  18. Today, I received a comment from Sheila Landry. Always nice to have positive comments from the designer.
  19. Thanks all for the nice comments. Dave, this project was dipped. I have an old 9" pie tin and it works great for projects like this one. Kevin, this project was 1/2" Ash, so fairly easy to cut.
  20. Choice of blades as stated is a matter of preference. Try different blades and different manufacturers. You will soon find somethin you are comfortable with. One suggestion, do not by blades from a big box store.
  21. Cute, Ralph. LOL
  22. Thanks, DW. I wasn't sure about the Ash, but it does look good.
  23. Thanks, DW. Glad you like it.
