Last week someone came into ArtCrafters and bought the only Miniature Birdhouse that can stand. She asked if I had more. I purchased the set of eight from Diana Thompson's website and made four of the eight this past weekend. I used Aromatic Red Cedar for the houses and Yellowheart for the birds. I also used FD Polar #7 blades. These are a fun easy compound cut. Comments welcome.
Thanks for all the encouraging words. For those interested, give compound cutting a try. One suggestion, after cutting the first side, keep the block together and tape tight. I use packing tape. There are also jigs used to hold the block together.
While sitting at the computer with the display in front of me, someone came into ArtCrafters and purchased one of the Miniature Birdhouses. She liked the one with a flat base so it can stand.
