  1. Thanks Ralph. Not sure if they will sell, but someone mentioned they would look great on a window sill.
  2. Well done. Living in GA and not a Braves fan! Actually I live in TN and a Twins fan.
  3. Thanks for all the nice comments. Without staining the water, the seahorse did not stand out. Staining really helps.
  4. Thanks for all the nice comments. I did not adapt these, the patterns come from Diana Thompson's website. In fact, I received a comment on my Facebook page from Diana. It seems she is selling a lot of these patterns lately.
  5. Wow, thanks for the nice comments everyone. Actually the holes in the middle were very small and required a #1 blade, so I continued using it on all the other cuts.
  6. I use FD Polar #7 for the birdhouses and #5 for the birds. The Polar blades remove the sawdust better and therefore less burning and binding.
  7. Welcome to the forum from TN. It looks like you got the Scroll Saw bug. It is contageous but in a good way.
  8. Thanks Don, for the nice comment
  9. Thanks Don. Now the set of eight is complete.
  10. Thanks Don. The Red Oak really works with this one.
  11. Thanks for the comments, guys.
  12. Thanks, Gordie. As for holes, I did count them at 75.
  13. Thanks Paul. The Yellowheart really stands out.
  14. This is the second one I made. I had a piece of 1/2" Yellowheart just perfect for this project. The pattern is by Jacb Fowler and found in CWWC April 2007. I used FD UR #1 blades and ons coat of 50% BLO as the finish. There are 75 holes, so a lot of cutting. Comments welcome.
  15. This pattern caught my eye and just had to be made. The pattern is by Chuck Petrovich and found in SWWC Summer 2012 issue #47. I was not sure of the Red Oak, but when I applied the Samen stain to the base, it really stands out. I used Fd Polar #5 blade. I really enjoyed making this project. Comments welcome.
  16. I finished the final four patterns of these Standing Miniature Birdhouses. I used Aromatic Red Cedar for the birdhouses and Yellowheart for the birds. I used FD Polar #5 & #7 blades and one coat of spray Shellac for the finish. Thanks to Diana Thompson for the wonderful patterns. Comments welcome.
  17. That is some fine cutting.
  18. Wow, you have been busy. They all look great.
  19. Len, I consider the blades as disposable at less than 25 cents. I don't like pushing, so changing blades. I also use some hardwoods and it does make a difference.
  20. Very nice cutting on both. I am sure well appreciated.
  21. Kevin, I use FD Polar #7 almost exclusively on the birdhouses and #5 on the birds. Also one blade per birdhouse.
  22. Welcome to the forum from TN. A great looking plaque. Well done on the donation.
  23. Nicely cut and finished.
  24. Well done, Steve. Very nice cutting of a wonderful pattern.
  25. A very well done project. Great work on the design, Russell.
