Thanks for all the encouraging words. For those interested, give compound cutting a try. One suggestion, after cutting the first side, keep the block together and tape tight. I use packing tape. There are also jigs used to hold the block together.
While sitting at the computer with the display in front of me, someone came into ArtCrafters and purchased one of the Miniature Birdhouses. She liked the one with a flat base so it can stand.
I finished eight of these on Sunday and Monday. The patterns are by Diana Thompson and found in CWWC May 2011. The birdhouses are made from Poplar and I used FD Polar #7 blades. For the birds I used Aromatic Red Cedar and FD Polar #3 blades. My tree display is again filled. Comments welcome.
