  1. Welcome to the Village forum from TN. I lived over 60 years in MN mostly in Robbinsdale. I use Flying Dutchman blades and for your project probably a Polar #7 or 9.
  2. Beautiful projects. You are sure cranking them out.
  3. Very nice project. I cut Wenge for intarsia pieces and it is very hard. I also use FD Polar #7 blades.
  4. Very nice cutting and framing too!
  5. Very nice cutting. Appropriate words.
  6. Very nicely done. Captured the image just right.
  7. Very nice cutting, Jim and a great pattern, Don
  8. I can't imagine using a fret saw. That is really called handmade.
  9. Great cutting, nice sharp lines.
  10. Nicely done. Looks like you got the hang of the spiral blades.
  11. The night I posted this owl family, an owl flew into the truck. It was dark, so we couldn't see if it survived. The next day we drove back to the same spot and nothing to be found. I hate when that happens.
  12. Thanks for all the comments. Marge, I can't reach my back.
  13. Larry, I made these to stand on a table or shelf. Sue Mey's pattern is approximately 8" x 8" so it would be great as a trivet or wall hanging.
  14. Actually that is a great thought (worth more than 2 cents). I can't move this one as it is 10" x 12" and I made the frame to fit. When I do another, I will use your idea.
  15. Welcome to the Village. That project looks fine. Whose pattern?
  16. Looking at the title, I left off a 'e'. This is not a 'mut'.
  17. Thanks for the comments. Great pattern, Don.
  18. Thanks for the comments. Very encouraging.
  19. Way cute comments!
  20. Give it a try. As for patience, work one hole at a time and soon you will be finished.
  21. Thanks Dan. I bought three of DonR's patterns. I have the German Shepard yet to complete.
  22. This is a pattern by our own DonR purchased from his site, thanks Don. This was a tough pattern as there are more than 200 holes. I enlarged the pattern by 10% to cut on 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood 10" x 12" with FD New Spiral #3 blades. I used one coat of tung oil finish and two coats of spray shellac. The backing is a black mat and of course framed at our store, ArtCrafters, Comments welcome.
  23. This is a pattern by Sue Mey purchased from her site some time ago. I reduced the pattern to make one 6" tall and two 4" tall. I used 1/2" Red Oak with two coats of Tung Oil Finish and FR Polar #3 blades. A very easy pattern but popular. Comments welcome.
  24. I use one or two coats of Tung Oil Finish and when dry, follow up with either spray poly or shellac depending on the desired results.
