  1. My tree display was empty, so I made eight of these cute little Miniature Birdhouses on Monday, March 14th. The wonderful patterns are by Diana Thompson. I used Aromatic Red Cedar and Aspen. I also used FD Polar #7 for the birdhouses and FD Polar #5 for the birds. I have now made over 120 of the wonderful compound cut Miniature Birdhouses. Comments welcome.
  2. Owning a framing shop has another advantage. We always have small pieces of mat board which I use as the backer. Fit in a frame and no one notices.
  3. If that is your design, beautiful. Great cutting nd it would make an excellent trivet.
  4. Owning a frame shop has some advantages. We use double sided tape in all projects and it works great for stack cutting. I just make sure it is placed in the waste area.
  5. Welcome to the forum from TN. I did a Stylized Owl Family last week. The pattern is by Sue Mey.
  6. Very well done. Who is this a pattern of?
  7. Welcome to the Village forum from TN. I lived over 60 years in MN mostly in Robbinsdale. I use Flying Dutchman blades and for your project probably a Polar #7 or 9.
  8. Beautiful projects. You are sure cranking them out.
  9. Very nice project. I cut Wenge for intarsia pieces and it is very hard. I also use FD Polar #7 blades.
  10. Very nice cutting and framing too!
  11. Very nice cutting. Appropriate words.
  12. Very nicely done. Captured the image just right.
  13. Very nice cutting, Jim and a great pattern, Don
  14. I can't imagine using a fret saw. That is really called handmade.
  15. Great cutting, nice sharp lines.
  16. Nicely done. Looks like you got the hang of the spiral blades.
  17. The night I posted this owl family, an owl flew into the truck. It was dark, so we couldn't see if it survived. The next day we drove back to the same spot and nothing to be found. I hate when that happens.
  18. Thanks for all the comments. Marge, I can't reach my back.
  19. Larry, I made these to stand on a table or shelf. Sue Mey's pattern is approximately 8" x 8" so it would be great as a trivet or wall hanging.
  20. Actually that is a great thought (worth more than 2 cents). I can't move this one as it is 10" x 12" and I made the frame to fit. When I do another, I will use your idea.
  21. Welcome to the Village. That project looks fine. Whose pattern?
  22. Looking at the title, I left off a 'e'. This is not a 'mut'.
  23. Thanks for the comments. Great pattern, Don.
  24. Thanks for the comments. Very encouraging.
