    Amos

Ditto to what everyone else said. What a cute guy Amos is. He smiles with his whole face including those eyes for sure. I can only imagine how happy the family is with it. I hope you cut several because you need at least one for his mom, your wife and probably the other grandmother as well.
  2. Nice work for playtime Kevin. You need to make a sign to remind you to take photos before taking stuff out of the shop for delivery.
  3. I think the main key is to add lots and lots of the flocking and when you think you have enough, add some more. then make sure you let it set for the full period they say before removing the excess. Remember, you can collect the excess that does not stick and reuse it again so it does not hurt anything to use a LOT when flocking. Ithe. Use a paint brush as suggested to help smooth it out and get out excess. Interestingly enough, unlike Jim, the one time I didn’t have very good results and thought it was streaky and not very thick and looked bad was the time I used craft acrylic paint rather than the color adhesive you can get with the flocking. Was never really sure either why that was the case. I wondered if it was the paint, too thick of paint, not thick enough, Inconsistent on thickness, color I was using. It was the orange. What color were you using?
  4. Glad to hear your good news Scott.
  5. Wondered the same. Hopefully he will be able to visit and give us an update. Prayers said that all is good.
  6. Welcome to the Village from East Tennessee and the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Look forward to your participation. Nice work. The Excalibur is a great Saw.
  7. Hi Barry and welcome to the village from across the pond here in East Tennessee, from the foothills of the great Smoky Mountains. Glad you have come out of lurkdom to join in. lol forward to your participation and seeing some of your work.
  8. Scott. I was thinking and my thought was maybe just putting an “order” in that really was not an order, but was a donation to Harvey. Was going to check out your site to see if there was a way to do it. Maybe as a special order somehow? If we did it that way, it might work.
  9. I do have one and have used it. However, my husband is a general woodworker and he has a drill press and I tend to prefer to use it. You are right though, it should work for a lot of work. However, it can be difficult to get into the middle area of a larger piece and the plunger router attachment would probably lay be better as Fred noted.
  10. I thought those were so cute when I saw them in the magazine. I have the pattern copied. Will get to them hopefully before Halloween. I have been out of the shop for a bit, we were out of town last week, getting ready for that trip week before thst, and catching up on appointments and such this week. Maybe next week. Last I was in the shop, I left several projects in progress I know so will need to get those finished up first.

  14. Glad you had a good weekend Scott. I had been wondering how you were doing with your summer sales since we hadn't seen you here in a while.
  15. I would suggest listening to your wife. much easier and cheaper to get a. new girlfriend then to go through a divorce with the wife. (Especially if the wife finds out about the girlfriend. )
  16. Nice work Lawson. Glad you are healing and getting time back in the shop.
  17. Nice work. As far as color for the flocking, I think it really depends on several factors. For me, I decide based on the coloring of the overall project so in this case, I think the red ties in with the overall look of the wood.
  18. Welcome back. Nice work. Thanks for showing.
  19. Welcome back. Look forward to seeing your work and your participation here in the Village.

  21. Yes, it can be edited and info. added later as best I recall. I am pretty sure I have done so.
  22. Glad it works well for you and is relatively quiet. As to what else you “need”, don’t worry somebody will post something new we all need and can’t live without sooner then later.
