  1. I found out this week that if you are going to drill 1/8" holes drilling them with a brad point bit saves time and work if you use good ones. In my opinion Lee Valley has the best brad point bits I have seen. http://www.leevalley.com/us/home/Search.aspx?action=n
  2. Do what ever you have to do ""That is legal"" to save money and buy a good scroll saw. If you can do without your beer for a while you can do without a scroll saw until you can afford a good one. In the long run you will save money.
  3. Scott I didn't know a blades life was so short. I guess I need to change my blade out this mourning. Thanls
  4. Thanks for the pictures Craig, they all were nice. That must be a hot spot to have an event that last all week. Looks like you had a great time.
  5. I know y'all will find this hard to believe but my problem was me.
  6. Thanks Bob I can use that.
  7. I delete my spam every day but before doing so I look to make sure I am not deleting something important.
  8. I have downloaded Steve's patterns and paid my $3 but I can no longer get patterns from him. Any suggestions? Thanks
  9. Addressing your picture framing question if you are doing it on a table saw every thing has to be square. The blade has to be square with the mitre slots in your table and your mitre gauge has to be dead on 45*. It's really hard to do if you don't have a good after market mitre gauge. If you are doing it with other tools the key to your success is the same. ""Be perfect in your adjustments""
  10. I use my drill press. This is a great question as I would like to see how others do it.
  11. Some people have talent and some don't. Kris you got it and I don't. That is one of the best I have seen in the short time I have been on this forum.
  12. Dan looking at your cuttings I can see why you are an instructor. Thanks for the pictures.
  13. Dave I think you might be a pretty good wood worker, maybe real good.
  14. Mrs N can you suggest some good brushes? I know nothing about them. Thanks
  15. They all look great Dan. Which one is the Birchbark pattern?
  16. Sounds like fun Dan. It's just a bit to far for me.
  17. I agree your site is great. Wish I was good enough to cut one of your patterns.
  18. Google is your friend. Just look for a wood working club. I think most clubs like all types of wood working.
  19. For those of you that use craft paint on some of your projects, what is the best brand to use? I have been using Apple Barrel brand I get at Walmart but I was wondering if I can do better.
  20. If you have a Woodcraft store near you they carry the Jet and may have one. You can always go there and look and dream.
  21. I was lucky to find an EX 16 a couple weeks ago at our Woodcraft store and it is great. I will be glad to see them get back in stock in the USA. I wonder if there is any changes?
  22. I think I am using Loctite now but I have used several others with no problem. I know I haven't used Elmers.

  24. Axminster!!! They sound like a great company.
  25. Jerry I don't know which I like the best the basket or the jig. I would have never thought of making a jig like that. I think I will give you the ""At-a-boy"" award of the day.
