  1. Could almost look like a sunset.
  2. Ultra reverse blades and others that are hard to tell which way is up have either a crimp or notch at the top.
  3. The bits will be numbered (possibly #62). I buy my drill bits and blades either from Artcraftersonline or Wooden Teddy Bear. Harbor freight also sells a pack that includes 1/8” down to some numbered tiny bits as well.
  4. Run your finger down the blade. It should glide down. No teeth grabbing you. I don’t look at it, I feel it.
  5. I set my saw speed at about 75%. More than halfway to max. Sometimes more, rarely less.
  6. Very nice history of fretwork.
  7. My husband does it on Sunday too! It is what he does to help. He also does the dishes.
  8. Yep! That makes it uniquely yours!
  9. @81Shaun Are you able to purchase The Scroll Saw Workbook? I recommend new scrollers to buy this workbook and do the exercises. I feel it is money well spent. When I was learning, there was no internet (GASP) I borrowed an old version of this book from the library. It is how I began.
  10. My local Office Max has a large scanner. I have gone there to have quite a few things copied. Thinking about having the inserts copied on to two sheets, one front side, the second back side. Then your can just cut them out! I never thought about it until now!
  11. I spoke to this person on Facebook. She said she has tried replacing these parts multiple times. THIS is why I sold my Excalibur and bought a Dewalt.
  12. If you are the person I spoke to of facebook (and I think you are). You have already done this. Correct?
  13. An inexpensive and easy thing to try is replacing the set screw and thumb screw inside part. You can buy the refurbish kit from Seyco. Get a set for top and bottom. I think it was around $10 the last time I bought one.
  14. My 788 ain’t fancy. I can top or bottom feed. I can change the blade without tools or adapters. If I have major problems, I can replace it at a reasonable price. I had a chance to buy a Hawk for $600, I passed.
  15. Very cool!
  16. I think that is correct.
  17. They should work in a drill. The shaft is short.
  18. I buy Danish oil. It comes natural, walnut, honey oak, Cherry..I use the different colors to tint my projects. I do know I could make it. I do not want the hassle. I don’t usually put poly on it although I know can put poly on it as a top coat after it sets for a few days.
  19. I have one, I bought the dust collection attachment. It works as a hand held model. It’s kind of fat for my hands.
  20. My favorite from 2023 is my North Carolina State Fair winner!
  21. I feel everything should have a finish. Spray, poly or Danish oil would be fine as long as it is not attached to the mirror yet.
  22. I make a sandwich with 1/8” plywood on the top and bottom. I think it’s the safest way. You could also try cardboard. I use the cardboard from boxes of different dry goods from my pantry when cutting vinyl records. I always consider if the box is too good to throw away and might help with scrolling.
  23. Those are very interesting! They allow the wood to shine!
  24. When doing remodeling, I always kept a dollar store lipstick in my tool kit. It is very useful!
  25. It was a 50 cent piece.
