  1. I've had this made but unpainted sitting in my shop for months. There are several more in the series currently suffering the same fate.
  2. A few months ago, my grandson asked questions about the 30x173mm round from a GAU-8 I have sitting on my desk. We watched several videos of the A-10 firing at ground targets. Since then, he asked every time he was here: When will you make one for me? So I did. Burrrrt! My 30x173mm practice round. Disarmed of course.
  3. What is the brand and model of your printer?
  4. Changing your display settings doesn't have anything to do with printing. I worked in IT for over 30 years. Printers can be a pain to deal with. My educated guess guess is that the problem is either your printer, driver, or printer settings.
  5. A dragon on my Shopsmith belt sander. Made from ipe and poplar.
  6. I use both Inkscape and Gimp running on Fedora 32 Linux. I've never had a problem printing to the exact size from Inkscape. I never print patterns from Gimp I use it to clean up scans I made or other bitmaped images before tracing them with Inkscape.
  7. DOulbe stick tape works go for holding lots of things. Some of it holds to tight.
  8. I have lots of critters. I make them from cut offs. I sell a few but give most of them away. My kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews love them. I learned to use a scroll saw making animal cutouts.
  9. The clips on my saw are metal. Steel I think.
  10. I paid $100 for mine several years ago. I wound up spending over a $100 on it for parts and some up grades. I believe it is newer than this one. The on;y problem I have with the round clamps is that they will sometimes come ou when a blade breaks and as with anything else I drop they alway seem to bouce and roll underneath something.
  11. I would use plywood on the walls. That way you can hang aything on the wall anywhere you like.
  12. Well that sucks. Big Sky Tools has been a primary source of tools for me over the years. I own many Hitachi tools all purchased from them. I was wondering if this change would affect them. I just went to their web page and there is very little in stock. One of the most used tools in my shop came from Big Sky Tools.
  13. You should be able to spray anything. Tip size is important with acrylic paint due to the larger pigment size. Construction of the airbrush can be a problem when spraying lacquer. Lacquer thinner will eat the seals in some of the Chinese airbrushes.
  14. It makes it difficult to read posts. The constant motion is distracting.
  15. Is ther anyway to turn off the snowflakes floating down my screen? They are very anoying/
  16. I have thought this many times. He often uses slot/tab construction in places where it isn't needed. Of course, I could use any method I choose.
  17. Shellac is repairable with no sanding.
  18. I 2nd this suggestion.
  19. I was going to suggest shellac. Be aware of the humidity. It needs to be below 70% or it will absorb water out of the air. I mention this because I lived near Carolina Beach for several years. Humidity is going to be an issue no matter what you spray. It spray well and cleans up easy even if you let it dry. If you buy flakes and mix your own, you can get several colors. If you wan to use sand paper on it I recommend a dewaxed shellac.
  20. Every once in a while construction lumber wi;; produce something nice. This came out of a 2x4L
  21. Maybe there is a keyless chuck that doesn't slip, but I have yet to see one. I had one for a few years, and I got rid of it because it would slip. The other thing I don't like about a keyless chuck is that inserting a new bit almost took three hands to get the bit mounted.
  22. I'm gopmg to have to try that. Thanks.
