  3. Scrolling bass wood can have he fuzzy issues. Mostly, I use basswood for character carvings as the knife doesn't leave fuzzies so watered down acryllic paints give excellent cover

  5. I have used dab of glue around the edges, pin nailers, and or tape to hold things together. They all work, lately my my go too method is using blue painters tape.

  12. I cut this two years ago was satisfied with my results so it sits stored away and out of my sight
  13. I say beech as well. very hard, cuts well with # 5 blade but could burn if I dont use tape
  14. Nice shop kevin, I use our well insulated garage with Natural Gas heater. and the truck sits in the car port. Our winters can be long, cold and blustery so I keep heat on all the time set at 15 degrees celcius. about 50 degrees Farenhieght. Most enjoyable work space
  15. I have a Rikon I bought second hand for $800.00, after a good tune up it is a most excellent saw. I have cut upto 15 inch elm wood slices.
