  2. Very good
  3. Waylon Jennings and 8 track recordings brings a lot of memories. Nice clean cut with a good finish
  4. Great puzzle.
  5. I use basswood mostly for carving as it is softer wood and cuts easily with a sharp carving tool., It also cuts very good on a scroll saw. since it is close a grained wood it is quite strong and takes paint and clear finish very well. If there is a down side to Bass wood that would be not much grain to it. Baltic birch would be a bit stronger and less prone to breaking.
  6. I use a Seyco drill for some 5 or more years. and recommend it.
  7. Sorry you are having this problems but tells me why many farmers from your country are establishing here in Saskatchewan. Saw Bird sells these blades from Estevan, Saskatchewan,Canada He ships to me quickly and easily however your mail conditions would still be a problem
  8. A comfortable place to make quality stuff
  9. I have a 6 year old Seyco, use it lots.haven't considered lubrication yet. I did have a Dewalt type one that was about 20 years old when it began making noise, changed a bearing and lub up with quality grease. The moving parts were slightly dry
  10. I have used framing acrylic mostly for my own keepers. At craft sales most customers choose portraits on a backer board rather than framed and would rather not pay extra for art protected by glass or acrylic
  11. I am getting a headache thinking about all this. I buy scroll patterns, I use free patterns, I modify patterns and i get ideas from picture. heck I even scrolled a race car from a picture. I don't intentionally infringe on some ones copy right.
  12. It all comes down to whether some one will pay the price I am asking. If a scrolled piece doesn't sell I have a decision as to lowering the price or storing it until someone will pay my asking price. Some times my storage bin gets to full so I can either lower my price, give it away to a charity or use it for fire starter in my fire place. I do feel success if I can at least make enough to keep buying wood
  13. I have the metro ( Seyco) vac attachment attached to an old refurbished house style central vac that is tucked away in a noise deadening cupboard for under the table dust. Also a fan at the back of the saw equipped with a filter to take away the dust in the air. I did fix up a 1/2 flex hose to take away the table surface dust that works ok until it plugs up. I also use a dust mask most of the time. I placed a plugin strip on the saw that fan, vac system, light and the saw { foot control) plugs into. The dust system must be running before the saw can be turned on. At one I tried the to have the vac plug into the foot switch so the system would start up only when the saw was started . however the vac burnt out prematurally.
  14. I couldn't say it any better than this
  15. I cut Sam Custido pattern a few years ago using 1/8 bb. the 1/2 inch gives it more character, good job
  16. Interesting and thankyou
  17. Sorry i am not familiar with inkscape but I often resize patterns using the enlarge feature on the printer, Using "word" or I sometimes use a online program Rapid Resizer
  18. I agree with all comments. it is very good. your coloring is energizing me to try
  19. beautiful
  20. My simple answer is nothing so far
  21. Yes the birch plywood we get today tends to be more problematic how ever your lighthouse Cutting cae out fine .
  22. I am sure your Grandchildren will be so excited and surprised when the time comes as well as bringing back many Grampa memories
  23. My Seyco has a magnetic sheet that is completely worn out maybe waxing would have made it last longer
  24. Looks good, the line chip outs give it character. My first scroll saw was with a coping or fret saw as a kid so many years ago. Then im mid 1990s I took a Intarsia class that prompted me to purchase a Dremel scroll saw. That saw was not the most user friendly tool as I later learned. That saying it led me to various resource magazines and onto this blog site and the advice Steve Good had to offer
