  1. I usually do a contrast dark coleo so blue would be my first choice but they are all interesting and have merit
  2. At age 80 I am not to interested in keeping track of time spent on my scrollsaw and see a timer as just another gadjet to fuss with

  4. I have had dwalt now have a Seyco both verugood saws for me and both had a speed spot where vibration is the highest.

I use both pegas and niqua from Garnet Hall (Sawbird) as he is local to me ( Saskatchewan, Canada)and shipping costs are reasonable, then so is Denny at Artcrafters as he also sells Pegas and has reasonable shipping and is a fellow scroller. I think Niqua blades are made in Germany they seem more flexible, Pegas sharpness lasts a bit longer but are more brittle. Bearwoods are a good supplier as well but bigger companies have higher overhead.

  13. I seldom use paste wax on my machines , Occasionally I wipe on a liquid product "Top Coat" that I bought from Lee Valley many years ago
  14. Baltic birch is my go to for most of my ornaments, portraits ,puzzles etc , I do like cutting solid wood as well
  15. I cut a lot of baltic birch and seldom go any thicker stack than 3/4 inch as problems increase.
  16. I didn't know about walnut I have a fire place in our living room that takes care of wood scraps or oops projects

  19. Good job on the frame The picture inside is not to shabby either! Your wife must have cleaned you up before the trip! M wife ran me through the car wash before our trip a few years back took two tries to get all the glue and paint off
  20. I cut our welcome sign from a sliced ACQ treated fence board. Backer also out of fence board was painted with a black acryllic then sign coated with Thompson water seal; had no effect on the acryllic paint . Sign gets completely covered over in snow last 3 winters . Unfortunately this year the sign couldn;t withstand pressures of the snowplow so will have to be replaced!

  22. I can relate as I got so excited when the idea light revealed a junk crank type elevating hospital bed table makes an excellent out feed tray for table saw, band saw yor whatever
