  1. I use spirals once in a while. I got better with practice slow feed works for me. Down side of some sspirals is the tear out on the undre side can be an issue. This is a good informative video
  2. It would not surprise me if the Metro Vac and the Seyco Vac are one and the same. My Seyco vac played out with in 3 years. It steadly got louder with time. I now use an old shop vac that is as loud as could possibly be so I enclosed it and added sound reducing ceiling tiles All this was found material that was being thrown out.
  3. I use the Seyco drill for scroll entry holes and have a small cheap Craftsman press drill that I bought new some thirty years ago. It works ok but small and will go out of alignment.
  4. I live in Canada as well and am very careful about sharing my SIN number as well.
  5. haven't made any napkin holders Where I live most people just have a roll of paper towel close to the tv tray and the table is covered with old, unread newspapers. Ha Ha
  6. Good ideas I have painted puzzle pieces and diluted the first coat to help with the fitting proble, of paint build up. second coat is limited to the surface
  7. Thanks for the comments
  8. Thanks for the tip , just might might make the change
  9. I have a Seyco , bought it four years ago. It gets lots of use, only issue I ever had with it is some screw bolts came loose and I had to put some lock-tite on the arm adjustment threads as for the blade clamps. I put Pegas on my Dewalt not much difference. As for bevel/ angle cutting I don't mind the Seyco idea. The magnetic sheet that sits on the table did wear out and shipping to where I live is expensive but a magnetic sign material has been a good replacement
  10. My Seyco has more vibration around the 3/4 throttle speed But to be fair my saw is mounted on casters as I like to move iy around especially to get the summer sunshine.
  11. lately I use blades are the Pegas Mg #3 sometimes 5 I did use a #7 MG to cut 7/8 zebra wood. I also like Niqua #3 ultra reverse they and #1 I purchase most blades from Sawbird as Garnet Hall lives in the same province as I do. Art Crafters is another supplier and a good source of info for me but Denny is out of country so shipping can be an issue.
  12. can relate to this fella
  13. great way to use reclaimed wood you do such a nice job
  14. Do you have a hobby for your spare time?
  15. nicely done
  16. Zebra wood with Odie's oil finish cut with Pegas MG #7 on my Seyco Saw
  17. Took me a couple of momments to notice the fish.
  18. Yep, fuzzies happen when I mount the MGT blades to low. so the bottom reverse teeth are not enetering the wood.
  19. Lots of good info For me bottom blade slippage is often caused when I don't chuck the bottom blade correctly.
  20. yes I like it you gave me another idea thanks. curious on the Kamon symbol
  21. could be blade tension , or defective blades then again some wood gives us surprises.
  22. Gun smoke, another favorite
  23. wonderful
  24. The grain in the wood really sets it off. This shall be with your grandson forever.
  25. I like it, Wiley E Coyote and road runner are still a favorite cartoon for me to watch. Maybe I can associate with that guy. In the shop I can get real busy creating something only having the completed project un- workable. I only used an air brush once at a carving class I took years ago.
