  9. That will put a lot of and fun into a young ones play time as it did to the old guy who made the puzzle
  10. Enjoy Florida, I dream of such things but not to often. Right now at 7:00A.M. in Nipawin , Saskatchewan Canada there is lots of snow, -20 as I wait for the sun to rise in 2 hours from now. my truck is outside, plugged in as there is no room in the heated garage. Nice thing about winter here is no grass to cut, or plants to water things that disupt a person's scroll sawing
  11. Did that ever turn out good. I am sure you feel inner satisfaction for a project well done
  12. I was always told "first you get good then you can get fast"
  13. I just tried the pinkish painters tape for delicate surfaces works very well , if used on the bottom side helps preventing blade tear out.
  14. Dan thanks for sharing this. I think it is a great outreach to children and scroll saws are probably the safest wood working tool that gives great results.
  15. Glad you are back and can relate to lung problems, I have COPD so I mask up always, have a fan with a furnace filter tied onto it at the back of the scrollsaw to draw the dust away from me and a vacuumn to draw the dust from under the table as well as a shop air cleaner and all other tools have dust collection capabilities other wise I would be a sick puppy with nothing to do but sit, watch tv and feel sorry for myself
  16. I often do this as well seldom have a problem
  17. This past two years there have been no craft sales in my area so I have put oodles of stuff ion consignment a t Art/ Craft shops. Sales last year were excellent this year looks very good as well.
  18. Yes many things we unconciously do during cutting may shorten a blade life but sometimes a blade just seems to have shorter than another blade from the same bundle. I have inserted a Pegas Mdf 5 and a Niqua uiltra that wouldn't cut at all , on examination bottom half of the teeth were missing don't think it was because of something I done. As I often say "Compost Happens"
  19. Been on here a few years now lois of goog patterns, information and a few laughs as well
  20. I bought a pneumatic elevating stool at Princes Auto ( similar store to Harbour Freight) It had a load rating of 400 lbs, since I am at 185 it should last forever but two days and the elevating piston pooped out, dropped to the lowest position with a real thud, never to be elevated again., My costco stool shows seat wear but it is at least 8 years old but it became uncomfortable so I found an old office chair with arm rests, swivel seat and hieght adjustable that I now use for scrolling, very comfortable and on occaision I use it to lean back and take a nap.
  21. like that idea of using moss, thanks
  22. Changed Shop Information to Intarsia patterns; many animals and dog breeds;
