  2. Nice!, the garage door to the house is a nice barrier from the son and partner in my case and have not resorted to death threats just yet...
  3. Great work, I also love aloha art
  4. Well done and yes there is something to be said about sitting down standing at the saw concentrating on nothing but that. It's why I love it! I had to reposition my new saw due it being a 30", the good thing is that I no longerhave my back to the garage door which is most often open. I can now see the door in my peripheral vision.
  5. Yes I have a magnifier already, the excelsior here is sold by King, I got the saw at a discounted rate in exchange for a blog review. Will have to get some blades and try a simple design in a coin before I get involved with buying to much
  6. I have the excelsior 30
  7. you must have long finger nails to sacrifice while holding these coins.... Randy, I am thinking of placing an order for flying dutchman blades from mikes workshop, are the jewellers blades there sufficient for coin cutting?

great work, I have made the logo from wood myself and it is a nice one to cut. I must try this coin cutting. Do you have any suggestions for a first attempt pattern?
  19. thanks folks, I need to provide a suggested starting bid for the piece and wondered what you all thought? my hope is that it brings in somewhere between 140-160$ so I was thinking a starting bid of $80 thoughts?
  20. In September I was the feature artist of the month at a local cafe that is run by Gay/lesbian folk and the place is very popular. They are having an auction of donated art work to sponsor an lgbtq family that is coming to Canada. Here is what I am made them for the auction, it's a bunch of lgbtq symbols and I splatter painted the backboard and frame with the colors of the LGBTQ flag. Will drop it off Saturday morning
