  5. Exceptional!
  6. Well, it's been a hectic and interesting year so far. Our small business has expanded enough to outgrow our ability to transport our products in our SUV. So we purchased 6x12 enclosed trailer - waiting for delivery and then the customization fun begins. I have several decal signs waiting to be ordered, eTracks and shelves to build and more. Also, I got fed up with not being able to easily sand circles and half circles so I bought a WEN 6524 Oscillating Belt and Spindle Sander! I was going to buy the Rigid, but everyone was out of stock with no time frame for fulfillment. Plus the wen was $100 cheaper! I'll post some pics once the new items start to arrive and we start to get them set up and customized as needed. Also purchased some new rails for our tent display signs. They are able to rise up to 5 feet above the top lip of the tent! I'll be ordering a new sign for the rails next week after Saturdays sales which hopefully will help pay for the new signs Thanks as always in advance for reading
  7. Glad to see your getting well and back at it!
  8. I haven't seen snow in person in over 35 years... I don't miss it either, but it is beautiful
  9. Woot grats! Nicely done and thanks for sharing it
  10. Meter? How would you/did you hook up a meter? Does it connect directly to the machine or do you have to start it and stop it? Interesting topic because I've been trying to think of how to do this at the moment. Right now I use a watch LOL
  11. Nicely done - both cutting and servicing! You're scoring entrance to heaven points for sure!
  12. Thanks @LarryEA That's exactly what it was and then some... After reading the replies I went back and re-examined the table - it's tight and not moved (i had taken it apart a few days earlier so it was still very tight) I noticed that forward to rear alignment you mentioned and then noticed I had not "seated" the blade all the way into the holder which gave it even more of an "out of whack" appearance Once I re-seated the blade and cut another puzzle, all was well with the world again Thanks to everyone for their replies - greatly appreciate it Now not sure what to do with the Pegas Chuck Heads I ordered
  13. Something is wrong in the world - you're not the only one having this kind of terrible luck I feel for ya!
  14. It started yesterday, on a custom unit for a customer. Got it all glued up, profiled it, cut out and sanded. Turned it over and noticed there was 2 faults in the wood. Ugh! Started over with a new piece... Got it all done, dipped and ready to spray finish... It falls off the finish table and breaks in 3 pieces! UGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!! So disgusted. It's now a money losing piece! Ready to give the customer back their payment Thanks in advance for letting me vent!
  15. Saw: Delta 40-694 20" This just started to happen the other day, and I need the experts help/advice... I tune my adjustment every so often on the saw. I don't do it every time I change blades, just when I find a puzzle is not fitting correctly. Usually, I can adjust the 90 degree lateral on the table/blade fairly easily. However the other day, I notice after cutting a puzzle that was way out of whack, that the forward to rear alignment was misaligned significantly and I have no idea how to fix/adjust that! I don't see an adjustment for forward/rear lateral movement. I purchased the Scroll Saw Chuck Heads by Pegas Made for DeWalt & Delta thinking this would help solve my problem. Questions: Has anyone else installed these heads? Has it made a difference? Is there an adjustment for the forward/rear alignment I'm not seeing? Thanks as always in advance
  16. That's the trouble being so incredible at what you do... People think it had to be done by Laser or other.... Be flattered - your work is incredible!
  17. Laugh all you want, but I use Saliva! I've been a SCUBA instructor for over 30 years and if it's good enough to keep my mask from fogging, it's good enough to keep my magnifier from fogging It's free and it works!
  18. Have you tried Saliva? It's free and is used as a defogger.
  19. I have the Wen which I started with a few years ago and purchased for just under $100! I bought it because I wasn't sure Scrolling would be a hobby I enjoyed and spending hundred's if not thousands of dollars as a retiree on a fixed income on an unknown is not my idea of being a smart consumer. The problem you're going to have with the Wen is it is a Pin blade machine. I found out very quickly that pinned blades hampered my ability to do certain types of cutting - such as detailed fret work. I happen to enjoy the hobby very much and after a very short time, I purchased a Delta. I now own 2 and about to purchase a 3rd as a back up. I go with the Delta simply because it has been reliable for me for the past 4 years and the price is superb! The Hawk, sounds like a great buy as all here seem to attest to, however for me a new machine is preferable to a used any day as I am not a mechanically inclined person. I am getting better at it though with the help of all the great scrollers' here. Either way, best of luck with your decision
  20. Well this was one of the best threads I've read! Thanks for all the info - now I have to buy another darn saw LOL And yes, it will be a Delta... Nice and inexpensive unless I can get the Dewalt at the 299 price I see once in awhile.
  21. Thanks, I use adobe to enlarge my patterns Word is cool also
  22. Condolences on your loss - it's never easy making that decision but often it's best
