  1. Thanks!
  2. Thanks rjR!
  3. Thanks! I got the pattern from Sue Mey's website.
  4. Thanks to bobscroll for some awesome patterns! I made this out of some leftover flooring just to see how it would turn out. I plan to make several of these signs of my hometown (this sign), my current home town and everyplace my wife and I have vacationed. I will hang them up out on my back porch up on a big Cypress beam that goes clear around the porch. I probably won't use this flooring material, too hard to cut for one and not weatherproof. Although the area that I will hang them is out of the direct elements. I will probably use Cedar. Thanks again, Bob!
  5. Not sure how I managed to post this same thing twice! Sorry for the duplicate post.
  6. Haven't done much cutting lately. Just finished installing new kitchen cabinets and counter tops. That will take up a whole lot of your time,, and money! I made one of these earlier this year for a neighbor to give to his church. Showed some people the pic of it and a guy at work wanted 2. Baltic Birch plywood on a piece of Walnut.

Very cool! Where can I find that pattern?
  11. This one has been on my list to do for quite a while.
  12. That's really cool! How many pilot holes?
  13. I had to take a second look at the big monkey in the middle. A piece of that puzzle fell in an awkward place! lol
  14. We had our motorcycle reunion and I gave the piece to his wife. She really liked it! Everyone that attended signed the cutout.
  15. I asked for a pattern a few weeks ago. A "brother" from a motorcycle forum that I have been a part of for close to 15 years passed away a few weeks ago. We have several get together's throughout the year. People come from all over the U.S. Our big one is next week. I wanted to make something and present it to his wife at the reunion. Mahendra made me a very nice pattern that I attempted to cut twice. Neither came out very good. I tried again tonight and I think this one is ok. I will place it onto a darker backer board and make the backer big enough for everyone at the reunion to sign it before giving it to his wife. I ended up using a flat blade after failing using a spiral. So I cut the pattern out on a smaller piece of plywood and glued it onto a bigger piece so that I didn't have such a huge piece to keep turning. I didn't like that you could see the edge of the smaller piece on the bigger piece so I trimmed it out. I'm not loving it but it looks better than seeing the edge of the smaller piece. We will all sign within the trimmed out area. Spiral blades on bigger pieces would definitely be easier,,,, once I can get the hang of using them! Thanks again Mahendra!
  16. A Lichtenberg burning. It looked like branches of a bush so I put a butterfly on it. A rose I made for my wife
  17. I like that. I will grab a copy of the pattern, thanks. Barry
  18. Welcome to the forum. I have also had lots of back pain. Surgery finally fixed most of it. There are hours and hours of posts for you to go thru here, get yourself a nice pillow for your chair! Also, I didn't know that we could make doughnuts with our scroll saws!
  19. I was thinking Cedar also.
  20. Nice! I made one a few years ago to give to the American Legion. They were having an auction to raise money to help fight Children's Cancer at the end of a motorcycle ride. A guy bought mine for $95. I wanted it back, so I bid on it up to $40. I could tell that the other 2 guys bidding on it wanted it more than I did so I bowed out. Someone on this forum built one a while back with another Steve Good pattern incorporated into it,, it was cool. I like that you made yours bigger.
  21. Bob, you have a PM.
  22. Sorry Gary,, I don't know the name of the font. Someone here will chime in and let you know.
  23. Excellent! I'm trying to learn a bit about Inkscape so that I can make a few of these.
