  1. After returning from the winter on the border, I haven't done much cutting, just a few orders. With this COVID mess all the craft shows I was going to do this spring and summer are shut down...bummer! So I decided it's about time to get started making stock for the winter shows. I've noticed a vibration that wasn't there last winter. I checked over the saw, all the nuts and bolts feel tight. Doesn't look like anything bent. I'm careful transporting it and pack it in it's original box. I checked the table to blade alignment...exactly 90*. When I cut a puzzle the pieces slide through from top or bottom, so I know the alignment is good. I've tried different blades, Pegas #3 & 5 that have been very smooth in the past. Not sure what difference in feel it would make, but I've moved the motor adjustment center...forward...and back. I have the Pegas blade clamps that are normally smooth. I have only one idea/theory. When I set up the winter shop it has a nice wood floor, so I got a ribbed mat large enough to set the saw on to protect the floor. I also bolted the saw to the stand top, and the stand top to the stand. Here at home I had just stacked the three items. So...here at home I have saw bolted to stand top, bolted to stand, sitting on concrete floor. I'm wondering if I need to get a rubber mat to put under the stand, or mount between the saw and the stand top? If so would it make any difference which?
  2. Cinthia, Love your cuts! Where did you get the wedding couple pattern? I have the Infinity Heart pattern...but haven't cut it yet.
  3. I couldn't carve that good on a 4 x 4 !!
  4. Looks good! I do the BBQ chicken. I do the pig as BACON, it sells well, and haven't done a cow.
  5. I wonder about a couple of drops of Lock Tight...? That might come off easier than Super Glue.
  6. I pulled the old one off, grabbed end piece with pliers and pulled off the rest. Then heated the next one with a heat gun and pushed it on. After the heat gun it went on easy...letting it cool now. Didn't work...as soon as I touched it...it fell down. I wonder if super glue would work.
  7. Yup...3...2...1 ribs are mouth watering!! I just did a half rack (just wife and I) yesterday on my Traeger. Used apple & Alder pellets, apple juice 4th & 5th hour (while wrapped) and finished with Sweet Baby Rey's original BBQ sauce last hour unwrapped. I run it at 180* first 3, then 225* rest of the time...low and slow baby!!
  8. 30 mi north of Joplin.
  9. I've never had a problem gluing a frame corner. I can never get the cuts to match up square and tight...so it never gets glued! There's a pile of pieces in the scrap wood pile...LOL
  10. On the King, Pegas, etc., etc. clones the air blower tube comes off a metal ball and is a multi jointed plastic thing. How do you get it to stay put on the metal ball??? Anyone have problems with it staying where you adjust it?
  11. Thanks Kevin! This one is my wife's. But you can order one off my website...lol.
  12. Yup! We managed a property in Tucson for three years. Geckoes and lizards everywhere...lol.
  13. Been playing around with this in between yard work...lol. Might make some of these in hardwood to sell next winter. This one is 1/4 BB ply, Pegas #3 blade, Satin lacquer finish, Sue Mey pattern.
  14. The third guy is on COVID-19 quarantine and couldn't join the others! That's where the "modified" comes in at...lol. I cut just a single 1/4" piece, and by time I got to the 3rd guy it was small. He was the last of the guys to be cut, and although I hadn't cut the open background out yet there was a lot of bouncing movement...his head and right arm broke! I was just going to trash it, then I thought maybe I could glue it. After looking at it, the other two were almost centered, so I thought I would just "make guy #3 disappear" and if it looked too bad when I finished it...into the trash it would go, as my first thought! I thought it looked OK and finished it. I've got a ton of likes on a couple other forums I'm on. Only us "old farts" would know that there is normally a 3rd guy...and most of us have forgot...LOL!
  15. Here's a modified Sam Custodio pattern. On 1/4" BB ply finished with 3 coats clear Lacquer. Will probably frame it with a black backing.
  16. Fantastic work!! That's a really great cutting of Eric. I've been a fan of his for 50 some years. A friend of mine toured with him back in the 70s and Played drums on at least 2-3 of his albums. Jamie also toured with Bob Seger and Peter Frampton.
  17. Real fine job Kevin! I've eyeballed that one too...didn't think I could ever get through it. You made a real nice piece there.
  18. Great job Marg!! I made one of Big Foot and my wife uses it a lot. I have a bunch of other patterns too. I'll bet they would sell well at shows...think I'll start making them! Is that 1/4" square dowel on the base? Nice idea making the piece a different wood or color stain from the base!
  19. Nice tray...beautiful wood! Where did you get it? And what finish did you use?
  20. Had a chance to start on it this afternoon.
  21. It’s a good day! After I got finished mowing, my order came from Ocooch Wood! Fast too, just ordered it Monday evening! Oh Boy! Fresh wood!!
  22. Thanks Bob! I got Sam's pattern and a pic of a cut. I'm going to cut it for my office wall here at the house. Sent a wood order in to Ocooch and when it gets here I'll pick out a nice piece. I'll post it when done. Thanks for checking on it for me! So many cool patterns...so little time.
  23. Yea...mid 70s I think. I think he still lives in France somewhere. He did the album cover "Cheap Thrills" Big Brother and the Holding Company w/Janis Joplin. That was a classic cover!
  24. You got it Les!
  25. Thanks. I found that this morning and loaded it. I like it and will probably use it other places too!
