  1. Yea, I think there's going to be 2 or3 more friends with 8 letter last names. Should be interesting. And I increased the size of Bobby's original from 4" to 4 1/2" to fit this! Hope I don't get any longer names.
  2. Yea...it does.
  3. You got any drawings? Did you see that somewhere?
  4. Very nice. I've been looking at a couple of Henrys lately. But after just getting a new 9mm carry pistol to add to my collection my wife doesn't think much of it LOL.
  5. I did a few of Bobby Riggs 2020 ornaments the other day. A friend in south TX wanted to know if I could put their name in it. So I got ahold of Bobby and told him what I wanted, he came up with a spot I could insert a name! After I got it into Inkscape I managed to get the name in it, and out to the shop I went. About 2 hrs. and 47 holes later I dipped it in Watco Natural. And thanks to Don in Brooklin for helping me with a problem in Inkscape!
  6. Looks good! Is that a Henry .22 in the middle?
  7. Cool! I knew it would be of interest to someone. I'm thinking about a bench like you're building. I saw one like it on Pinterest with a jointer, Delta I think, on top and a DeWalt 735 planer on the lower. With some wheels it looked like a slick rig for milling.
  8. Search them on Pinterest. There's a lot pf photos and some plans. I saw one while looking at something else and followed the pages. I think it's interesting. A lower cost way to have a good quality saw with a 30-52" rip along with an assembly table and tons of storage to boot.
  9. What did you get? That's farther down on my wish list...but I want one!
  10. So you haven't tried the "hot dog" test...LOL. I would love to have one, but can't justify the expense no more than I use one.
  11. Have you blown one of those $80 breaks on a piece of wood with too much moisture?
  12. I got an artist stool at Hobby Lobby last spring. It has a pneumatic cylinder and a lever like a office chair. The seat was hard so I ordered a memory foam office chair cushion from Amazon...comfy. Every 20-30 minutes at the saw I tap the lever and drop it an inch or so, just that little bit changes my position enough to help. When I get up for something I raise it back up and start over. It helps me a lot to vary my position, just a little, every now and then.
  13. They want a lot of money for all of them. If you took out the blade break they are famous for...is the saw itself any better quality than others with like size and features?
  14. Cool. I'm looking forward to trying it. Also it will speed up framing, glue...pin...go on.
  15. I've never tried that..."method" of holding stacks...LOL. I have a Hitachi brad nailer but it is a 16GA and they don't have short nails, and those are good sized. I thought a 23GA would fit our kind of work better and can get nails down to 1/2". The 23GA seams to be what most are using when a stack nailer is mentioned...and it was on sale.
  16. Here you go. A Ridgid, in place of the DeWalt, saw in a roll around table. And as a bonus , by building the cabinet you can add tons of storage!
  17. Are you talking about the R4520 they sell for $749?
  18. I'm not really interested in the router table part as I have one already. Though it is cool if you have a small shop. I was wondering about a good quality saw at a more reasonable price than a hybrid or cabinet of the same brand and still being able to have 30+ inches of rip capacity. Delta, Grizzly, DeWalt, Ridgid, even Saw Stop make bench top or folding models that could be used. Just saw a bunch pf photos and wondered.
  19. Has anyone built and use a rig like this using a bench style table saw? It would be a PIA to build something like this, But you could mount a long rail and mount a Biesemeyer style fence. Just a thought when I saw a few on Pinterest. Pros vs cons ?
  20. Does it cut that much smoother to be worth the money?
  21. I use : Duck Brand 1115496 Peel N' Stick Laminate Adhesive Shelf Liner, 12-Inch x 36-Feet, Clear from Amazon or Walmart, it coat about $6 for a 12" x 36' roll. Then print the pattern on the label, as others mentioned, and slap it on. Easy and works. WARNING: I used another brand once when I stopped at a Target...it didn't stick as well and left a sticky residue I had to sand off. Use Duck brand! Kevin told me about this method a year ago...thanks again Kevin, best tip I've got so far!
  22. Sounds like you got your money's worth out of that one
  23. I got a bench top drill press from HF, so far so good. Works like it should and breaks down into it's fairly small box to load in the 5th wheel. I heard the 2HP dust collectors are good also...they really suck...lol. So I've got one on order. I just ordered the Ryobi 23GA cordless pin nailer from HD today. It uses the same lithium battery as my other Ryobi stuff...no cords or air hose ! I've got my air hose strung up high to the scroll saw and it's a PIA to take down and use for other stuff. I also picked up a small trim router that uses the same battery, couldn't help it...it was on sale. Now down to the task of hunting a good table saw!
  24. I cut a 2020 Christmas ornament tonight. A Bobby Riggs pattern cut in Cherry veneer ply with #1 Pegas blade. I haven't put a finish on it yet. Think I'll make more and send them to the family, to remember what a shitty year this has been. Let's hope next year is much better!
  25. I guess I should start stacking my work so I have copies. I hate trying to tape or glue several layers together, so I want to use a pin nailer. 1. What 23 GA Pin Nailer do you use, and would you buy that one again? 2. What is the min. & max thickness that your gun holds well for scroll sawing?
