  1. Good progression Frank and a lot of hability and patience. For drilling your hole , do you take that kind of tool ? And what drill size are you using? Ouf..... so much work.....! Bonne continuation Frank !
  2. Incredible work Tony , so much details, beautiful ! And by hand only..... you just won the "Patience trophy" Question : what is the smallest drill you use to make your entry holes ? Thanks planeur
  3. Well I just cut wood at the scrollsaw for one hour and ......Yes no wood dust at all , under or on the table ! And even in the small box, zero dust and wood debris ! So my modification work better than I had expected! planeur
  4. Fot my blue Heron , a printing store close to here did a copy of 11" X 17" ( which was not enough ), and then I used an old (but still working ) " Pentograf " a tool that I had used for enlarging a figure or drawing the size you want ( almost ) Sure you have to draw with a pencil and not having to much shaking problem......! And it work very good! planeur planeur
  5. Kevin, I was also using the port and the plastic recipient under the blade, but the plastic was broken and was not happy with the dust collecting. Now nothing seem to stay on and under the table with the test I made. planeur
  6. Merci messieurs ! And Berry I only have to move the box a little bit when changing the blade, so no bumping ! planeur P.S. I had forgotten to tell that the box is made with 1/4 " plywood
  7. Hello scrollsaw pros ! To improve the original low suction under the table of my Excalibur scrollsaw, I made a small veneer box , easily removable, and hold by some magnets under the table . For the aspiration I use this nozzle connected to my Delta dust collector, which is also used for my bandsaw and column drill. https://www.leevalley.com/fr-ca/shop/outils/atelier/depoussierage/pieces-et-accessoires/30041-capteur-de-poussiere-magnetique-veritas It is fixed under the table with its 4 magnets, and that enters in the small box easily removable. The hose is 2.5' dia. int. This little box is also attached to the bottom by a small magnet as well as its front cover, which can be easily removed for a blade change! https://www.leevalley.com/fr-ca/shop/quincaillerie/aimants-de-terres-rares/aimants/circulaire/58750-ensembles-daimants-de-terres-rares-de-cuvettes-et-de-rondelles I added to the back of the box a piece of wood and plastic held in place by the same magnet as the box , to close the opening as much as possible and thus a better suction The suction tests are conclusive and a lot more than the original! No dust falls under or on the table. Now I can start my clock new project.....! planeur
  8. Magnifique Dave , superbe ! Question : Do you cut all the inlays at the scrollsaw , it seem to have so much precision in your cuts ! WOW really impressed ! And also how do you transfer your photos ( on your facebook site ) into scrollsaw projet , what software ? Thanks Dave planeur
  9. I just measured somes holes of the page 129 , on my copy 8 1/2" X 11", let say smalls holes of 1/8" D or 3/16" D , well it is exactly the same measure on my ruler! It is quite big already at almost 8" in dia. for the big wheel , so at 16 " it would be an enormous clock! I will continue my evaluation of all the plan. Thank you! planeur
  10. Hello Jes I just made some copy ( 8 1/2" x 11" ) of the PDF document and the clock and was wandering for the size of it.... Do you have an idea of the size of that clock on page 120 ? I would say around 8" in dia. for the biggest wheel . Thanks planeur

  24. When I fixed most of the part of my Blue Heron, I had used that gun https://www.rona.ca/fr/pistolet-a-coller , with those glue stick https://www.rona.ca/fr/arrow-batons-de-colle-tout-usage-10-transparent-12-pqt-ap10-0012055 Some parts were already glued with kind of crasy glue , and I put the hot glue to add some strengh, and it is working very good! planeur
