    I don’t know Amazingkevin, I made several coffee pieces of yours and my pastor absolutely loved it on his desk. Great design thanks rjR, I reduced baggetta’s design down to 70% original as I liked the smaller size.

    After finishing a rebuild of a teak swim deck for a friends ski boat I have finally had a chance to get back to my scrollsaw (hooray!). The first design is courtesy of amazingkevin, cut from walnut and given a dip in DO, thank you sir. The second is a design baggetta posted yesterday that I really liked. Cut from poplar, dipped in DO with the base getting a med walnut DO vs Natural. The last is a wedding sign done for a church friend who is getting married. The design is done by Keegan Wade (my son) and cut from bb with the back out of mdf. Now to find my next project although I do have some more Sue Mey bunny letters to cut for Easter.     Thanks Don, using shellac is a great idea. I finished cutting my project this morning but it was an unpleasant experience with all the pattern lifting. However in challenges comes great learning.

    I tried this method today on some bb ply and pulled my hair out. The pattern/shelf paper was not adhering to the bb and lifting during my cuts. Ended up covering everything with packing tape so I could finish. Same brand shelf liner, need to figure what went wrong or I will be tossing the remainder of the roll. Live and learn is a good day I guess.

    Kevin, yes the seyco cyclone is smaller and uses smaller diameter hoses. I have had my DD for 20+ years but it is very similar to one of their current versions here: https://www.oneida-air.com/dust-deputy/10-gallon-dust-deputy-deluxe-cyclone-separator-kit It was not that expensive way back when and I chose the metal barrel because as I said I use it on my router table and larger other tools the create bigger chips and sawdust volume. It does a great job of keeping my vacuum filter clean.

    Dg, I just used a 2x4 I had in the shop which I cut down to 1.5x1.5x7. I figured it may end up a disaster and did not want to waste a nice chunk of 8/4 hardwood.

    Another vote for the Dust Deputy. I use it in my shop for all my power tools; router table, bandsaw, table saw etc.. The only thing I don’t use it for is my scrollsaw but I have the seyco unit which includes a cyclone.

    Tried my first 3D cut tonight and learned a great deal for next time. A very nice Steve Good pattern. I did not use a 3D block jig. I found it a fun experiment.

    I mounted the same unit on my pegas stand. I had to work around my light and drill some holes on my stand frame but it works great. I did use some thick rubber washers on my support bar for the motor unit to dampen any vibrations that may be present.

    The spots were drawn with a brown permanent marker over the stain then the whole project dipped in danish oil

    Thank you dgman, This was a very cut for me and has actually been sitting on my bench for about two months. I had some of the same fitting problems here but was able to fix with a bit of fine file work. I suspect my problem was a dull blade and pushing to hard which created some drag on the bottom of the cut and therefore unsquare joints.

    My son and granddaughter love giraffes so I cut this simple puzzle out for them. The spot “art work” took almost as long as cutting .

    Intriguing, never thought of “tinting” glue with chalk. Need to give that a try as I am looking for a way to but brown spots over yellow stain on a giraffe puzzle for my granddaughter. Nice work.
