  1. I have been not checking this amazing site due to numerous things, but one of them was repacking the bearings on my saw. I used the following video: The video proved useful and I even learned a few things to share. 1. don’t attempt this in your garage in the dead of summer in South Carolina 2. 7mm nuts can be replaced with nuts off the shelf at Lowe’s. (Stripped nut, not one that escaped). 3. see rule one while the reason for doing it was that the tension and the lifter arm were not smooth, I ended up greasing those bearings and it is good to go now. Did I mention not to do this in your garage in the hatters part of the year in South Carolina? also had a bracket break, hence the long turn time. Just thought I would share the experience and I will not be doing that for a while.
  2. Or once it is in one of those programs, can use a projector to get any size one wants. I took a photo that was about five inches and projected to three feet. Takes a little trail and error to get exact, but that is an option.
  3. No worries as I do too. The one thing the allies we not aware of is the 262 would fly past the bombers fast, so they did a porpoise maneuver so that they could get another bomber in the formation, as Walter Schuack was doing that, my man put his P-51 in a dive and intercepted, let a burst out and the left wing started smoking. He followed the 262 to the clouds and lost it. Turns out, the left wing disintegrated.
  4. I recently did this pattern (and I think yours is better) for a gentlemen who flew P-51's in both World War Two and Korea. I did put the tail codes and serial number of the one he was shot down in. It turns out that 60 years later, he found out he downed a ME-262. By far the funnest project I have cut to date. Now if I can only find an F-16 pattern that is deserving to be cut. That is my pride and joy.
  5. Yes, there is a special tool...a hammer, the. Paint to match!
  6. Congrats! I guess I have about 14 more years to go with my Dewalt before I get something like that.
  7. I had the same problem and after sanding the tips four and five times, I said to myself "Self, time to change these". Haven't had a problem since. used to frustrate me as the blade would slip while in operation. another blade down the tubes.
  8. congrats!
  9. I must say that there are two or three close to me here is South Carolina, but all are inactive. I have found one where I work, but she is just starting. In fact, She has a saw she got from Harbor Freight (I know, first problem) that isnt cutting right. I am going to take it home and see if I can align it up. I dont want her to lose interest just because of a bad saw. I may be asking for some advice in the future.
  10. Excellent job!
  11. I am confident that Sweet Baby Rey's is a necture of the Gods.
  12. While I don't have any project to show for, I do have a recipe to share. The link https://www.charbroil.com/learn/how-to-smoke-ribs-in-an-electric-smoker. The instructions say electric smoker, but I can tell you from first hand experience that following the temps in a charcoal grill will get the same results. Only thing is prior to wrapping the ribs, put some olive oil and honey on them, then wrap. Just thought I would share because who doesn't like grilling?
  13. After I typed this, I went out to cut and what did I do? You guessed it.
  14. Very well done!
  15. Excellent job in cutting! Well done.
  16. My wife gave me clear chalkboard glue since she is a teacher and I use that to mend mistakes with. Have had an error yet which requires sawdust and would like to keep it that way!
  17. I hate that disease and I am waiting for me to "catch" it.
  18. @heppnerguy, I wish nothing but the best for your son. As far as my friend, I know he will smash it because that is who he is.
  19. Great way to recycle and get an awesome product! Good thinking on usage of the door.
  20. Great work and thanks for sharing that tidbit of info about the blades.
  21. Thank you for showing such great work! I love the biking and the dog, you can read the expression. Well done!
  22. You did a phenomenal job!
  23. Thank you all for the comments and encouragement. I gave it to him a bit ago and as we were talking, he confided in me that he was just diagnosed with Cancer. So this was really special to him. In the line of work we did, usually the big C is just a matter of time due to the toxins we dealt with. Thank you all again and this project has even more meaning to me now. Thank you SSV.
  24. @heppnerguy, he has been called scary before. . He likes stuff like that and has about thirty skulls tattooed on his arm.
