  1. wounderful projects!! and what a nice thing to do for a good friend. im glad you were able to life his spirts.
  2. so pretty and useful too!! thank you for shareing!
  3. thank you kevind…took another nap this afternoon so sheba and i are just taking it easy. I have dentures myself so i kind of know how shes feeling and what shes going through. she will be fine, we put a cone on her because she was trying to chew on her paw and we want her mouth to heal a bit before she starts doing that. dont want her to do any damage to her stitches. im a little concerned because she hasn't wanted any water yet but i just took one of the old animal syngures i have here and filled it up with water and gave her some that way. lol iv done that twice so far and will proubly do it several more times befor the nights over...tomarrow i'll offer her some water in the water dish and hopefuly she'lldrink some that way, if not i'll call the vet tomarrow just to check that shes ok and countue to give her water out of the old liquad dog synage until shefells lik drinking again.
  4. thank you foxfold and kevin. spike called the vet around noon to see how she was doing and she was well enough by then and we were told she could come home as soon as we could get there. so of course we rushed right out the door and to the vets it takes up between 20 and 30 minutes to get there. spike called the office when we were in the parking lot because no one was allowed into the busness. it seemed to take forever before any one came but finally the woman came out with care instructions for sheba and of course to get paid. then she came out with a different dog for the woman waiting for her dog to. finally they brought my sheba out to me she was still groggy and sleepy but she lifted up her head when she heard my voice and prticly jumped out of the guys hands into my lap. I did have to send the vet tec back in to get her blanket by the time she camse back with sheba s blanket sheba was burrurd down in my lap trying to burrer right into me. I took her blanket and put it around her top half and covered her up. she gave a big sigh and finally relaxed and went to sleep, only lifting her head to be sure I wasn't going to take and leve her somewhere else. when we got home I put her on the bed and payed a little attention to my other animal children then layed down on the bed next to her and we both fell a sleep cuddled up next to each other for a couple of hours. when I woke up I carefuly got up and sat in my chair thinking sheba would sleep for awhile still. she opened her eyes and sort of dragged heself to the edge of the bed and lay there for 5 minutes or so then stood up on her wobbly legs getting ready to leap I guess into my chair....something she would never attempt when shes not all drugged up so I picked her up and put her on our chair where she stood waitig for me to sit down.as soon as I sat down next to her she snuggle right up to me and has been lying at my side her little head and on paw on my thigh, sound asleep and contement.and finally sound asleep next to me I to well . depending on how she is I might not be in the wood shop again for at least a few days but ill come to read and put a few pics up now and then again thank you all for the prayers
  5. just an update and a thank you to all you wounderful people who added your prayers to mine as we waited for today and shebas ..we were told to be there between 7 and 7:30 this morning. when we got there the doors were locked wth a sign on the doors to call there phone # and someone would come to the door because of the crorona vises and of course we forgot to take the phone with us!! we knocked several times then went to sit in the car until some one came up front. when we saw the guy in the back come up front spike ran to the door and knocked and the guy came t the door and told us that we were told wrong. they open for surgery between 7:30 and 8! oops some one made a mastake. any way he told us to wait in the car and when some one else came in they would come to the car to get sheba. when they came out to get sheba they all had masks on and guy took sheba from me along with her small dog blanket that she uses when she sits with me in our chair...as well as my snuggle up...I hope her blanket will help to keep her calm when she wakes up and has to wait for us to come an d get her. sheba and I have only been apart from one another once besides this time, when she some how got her hip joint out of place....that time she had to spend the night.,,, she was one frantic dog until we came and got her and then for t he next week she tried to crawl right through my skin. the vet called about 9 :30 to let me know she had come thrugh surgery fine and was now resting with her blanket. I really like this vet as she treats the animals as if they were her own and takes the time to call and see how the animal is doing a few days after they are treated after an injury or has surgery. she made a spical call to me this morning to let me know that sheba was alright because she know how worried and scared I was about her, and assured me that sheba would most likely sleep most of the time we are se[earted. she told me sheba will be sent home with more antibpticts and some pain meds and we will talk more when we pick her up. I don't think i'll be doing to much crafting today as I didn't sleep well last night , I took my xaex this morning and its taking the edge off a little bit but my anxity level woun't really go away until I have my girl back with me where I can touch her and pet her and start takig care of her. I left the couch bed opened so she can lay on the bed most of the time today and every day until she starts feeling betterand wants to get off the bed I can me lying on the bed with her most of the time. to I just wont rest easy until she is here with me safe and sound again im glad shes able to sleep most of the timewe are apart.and here agaian I have written a small book so I will just say once agaian for adding your prayers to mine that she would come home today remember God always answers our prayers.... the thing is we tend to forget that sometimes his answer is no, not now, or wait.... I am more than grateful to God today for giving me just a little more time with my dear sheba and for all my new friends who added there prayers to mine.
  6. you sir are an expert scroller!!! I have several dragon patterns, and i'll put picts of someof the when I find them. lol I tend to collect dragons and if you have any dragon patterns you could share I would really appreache it. but either way I would love to see your pictures !!! I just love seening the work all of you do, I am so grateful that I have found this sight!!
  7. lol thank you kevin lol I just kept thinking these elephants need something... then God told me ears and a tail and maybe some eyes to purk it up some lol my first thought was to make felt or cloth ears and tails but I could not believe with all the felt and materal I didn't have anything gray that would match the paint on the elephants. then while I was finishing up my plstic canvas castles I noticed that the yarn I was using was about the same color as the paint I used sooo since I know how to crochet it was easy to just make some ears and tail lol then of course just the holes for eyes cryed out you can do better!!! lol sooo I just got out my jars of eyes and the rest is history!!! I will put the elephants into the stock box so they can be put up somewhere when I finally start putting things up on line to sell I used to sell on ebay but theres so many places to sell things these days im trying to get spike to do some research to find wher it would be best for me to put things up for sale. like I v said so many times before I want to get a few more boxes of things made up before I try selling this time because I don't work as fast as I used to. lol but after 2 years of not being able to do anything im not complaining!!! lol I want to thank all you wounderful people for all you input and kind words.
  8. thank you Charlie. could you tell me where you got the pattern? my youngest daughter s birdhday is the 2nd and she and her husband are just crazy about cats....even if I can't get it done by the 2 shes grauting from collage this next month to. its been a long 4 years for her what with working full time and going to school full time. id love to mke her a cat cell phone charger for eithr her birthday or her graduation and you for your complment
  9. thank you scrappile, I don't know what happened but for some reason today I simply could not remember how to get my pics off the camra and on to the computer...ggggrrrr I simply hate it when that happens!! so spike and I sat at the computer desk together and he figured out how to get the pics directly from the camria to the post here. sigh and my nerves are shot now so im going to just going to my home decorating game and try to relax and get myself back together!!! I hope im not starting to go senial or something..... maybe tomarrow I will remember how to transfer the pics to the computer and if I do I will wright it down for the next time my brain decides to go on vacation with out me!!! lol
  10. ok the elephats are finally done I crocheted some ears and tails and attatched them to the elephants, then I went it my eyes stasth and glued some eyes on them, this is the one spike picked for out cell phone. they all have similar eyes. do you think there good enough to sell this way?
  11. I can't wait to see the finished project either!!!
  12. because woman are not only wives and daughters.... most of us are moms to …. which means were teachers , phycistist and drs and and several other things that are basically telling people what to do!!! lol we like to call it gently nugging you in the right direction!!!
  13. wounderful toy cars!!! and trucks!!! I always have a soft spot for toys.... I love seeing kids play with toys espiclly ones iv made with my own hnds!!
  14. oh that is so pretty!!! and I love the fact that you didn't just toss it out when the puzzle part of it didn't work! quite often we can figure out how to salvage a project if we just give it a little thought!! I think all the puzzle parts help make it look more like feathers.
  15. that's really really pretty!!! im sure your grandson will just love it!!! I am praying that you will be able to see him on easter. if not do you know to do skype? if you and his partents have skype you can sort of be there over the computer. when my mom died my cousin who had lived with mom for a few years aftr her father died wanted to be at the funral, but by then she had mover to cal....to help her be there with us my brother hooked up skype and help the computer up so she could be at the service and a part of everything that was going on... we even hooked up again after we got home so she could join in with the visiting of everybody after the furnal…. just a thought that might inable yu t spend easter with your family this easter even if we are still in the lock down mode. ( sorry for being off topic here but I don't know if theres a way to contact a person to leave a privit message.
  16. ok im sure your all tired of hearing about my little elephants...… but there almost done now. I spent today crocheting elephant ears and tails....then I went into my eyes box and picked out a set of eye for each one... before I can put all the pieces together I have to put a coat or two of poluaframe on them. when all that's done I will finally put up picts of the finished project. lol if not tomarrow hopefuly the day after tomorrow. for now im taking a much needed break!! lol
  17. thank you baggetta, spike and I are on ssi so im trying to make up a good varity of craft projects to sell on the internet some time later this year. and no problem I get most of my patterns on line these days and I never sell or give away the patterns I collect. I have 2 boxes I put my finished projects in, one for selling and one for free gifts. I like to try and pass it forward espicaly with the free patterns. so I just want to thank you and everyone else who supplys free patterns to people ,for some people its almost the only way they can get new patterns
  18. wounderful!!! ilove it!!
  19. thank you every one for kind words.....without anyone to tell me what they think espicaly good sawers like you guys I never know if what im doing is any good. lol I still show spike everything befor I put it in the craft stock boxes if what iv made is good enough to sell. lol I was hoping to finish my pesty little elephants today but with all the materals I have in my craft room I just don't seem to have any maateral that is not only gray but the right shade of gray!! lol I did notice however that the gray yarn im using for my plastic canvas castle is not only light gray but it matches up with the paint I used on the elephants pretty good to....so as soon as I finish the castle I will see what I can do about crocheting some ears for them. lol the tails are real easy just a short row of chain stitchs just do it. then all I have to do is drill a small hole in the back push some of the tail through the hole and a dab of glue should hold it in place. im not quite sure how im going to attatch the ears.....im think my hot glue gun would proubly be best. just a small line of hot glue across the top of the ear and then stick it to the side of the elephants heads.... any one else have any ideas on how to attatch the ears that might be better?
  20. yes I have looked at the teeth on my blades, some of them have a cutting edge both ways top and bottom....others iv noticed have larger spaces between the teeth. I really like the spiral blades and I judge which one of them to use for a project depending on how thick it is. my son is dyslex and when he was a child he went to a spical school to learn how to read, once he learned you couldn't stop him!! lol we couldn't afford to get me tested but by talking to the people there they were sure that I have an off shoot of this learning disabliey called dyscalula… it basically means that my mind will just not make sense of numbers lol you have no idea how frustrating that can be!! lol it makes it hard to decyper many of my patterns regardless of what medum I use. I do have a spical tape measure with all the numbers on it that tells me what the measurements are when im measureing things lol it helps a lot when im trying to tell people how bigsomething I most people just don't understand its 3 inches and 3 little lines!!!lol I use that tape measure for measuring all of my craft projects from cloth wood to yarn and thread.lol I have learned after years of struggling to make sense of numbers that I don't hve to understand the numbers just match the numbers on my pattern to the numbers on my spical tape measure. lol it can be frustring to whwen trying to buy lumber cloth ect…. as I cant seem to tell the people helping me how much or think or what ever the materal it is tht I need. lol there for I always have someone go with me when I need to buy materals that require a certin amount or kind. I know it doesn't make sense and I don't know how to expline it.lol spike has made spical marks on all of my measureing cups for me so when im cooking and theres a measurement I need that's not marked on it he puts the mark and what it is so I can measure ingredents on those occiosing when I use a recipe. it was funny one time he was watching me double a cake recipe and wanted to know why I was putting the same ingredents in the measureing cup more then once lol the explation is rather simple really.....if the recipe calls for 4 cups of something and im doubline it I just put in 4 cups 2 times lol we wont even get into how I manage to triple or more a recipe. lol it proubly donst make sense to any of you but it works!! I know this because half my life I worked in restrants lol you have no idea how happy I was when people fially figured out how to make things digital lol well iv confused you enough now and once again talked about something non scrolling !! I really am trying to stay on topic ut sometimes I need to sort of expline the weired way I do things lol
  21. I have made many patterns from coloring books and with the pictures from other craft mags and just pictures for where ever I find them lol
  22. thank you!! iv written that down and will look up the beading tools and such. I don't think i'll be getting a beading tool anytime soon though seeing as I just got a table saw for valintines day!!! lol but It will be fun reading and learning about another way to do wood work. thanks!!
  23. ok I got all the elephants painted but now I have to put the ears and tails on. so until then here are a few more pics for anyone who wants to can look at. lol the first one is a standing fret picture frame. sorry but I didn't see a picture of the back lol now the second one is a compation of 4 different projects. lol the birds are a simple bird cut out from a pillow pattern I have in a sewing mag then a welcome word cut out from a scroll saw pattern the little mouse pattern came from on of my hand emboridy patterns . I took a scrap piece of wood andmade the backer for the welcome and the mouse to go on then used some little hook thingy and chain to make the welcome sign lol the Halloween train came out of one of my scroll saw mag, the im sure where I got the gone fishing sign lol I took apart an old microwave stand and used a piece of it to cut out the unicorn puzzle. the brown side is the outside finish that was on the microwave stand , I painted the back black so it wouldn't look to much like a recycled project.
  24. I simply love them!!! I tried to do something similar several years ago by trying to trace some funny numbers I had on a grapics programs but they never did really turn out to good. I mean they looked nice but they couldn't stand up on there own and I think I needed to use a differet kind of wood...I used pine and some of the numbers broke. I like yours much better!!!
  25. just wanted to add again to the other comments your work is AWSOME!!! just how did you get the car to look like a photografe? lol
