  1. Thanks Kevin @kmmcrafts and Wichita @Wichman. It sounds like an excellent product for woodworking. Like Kevin said, I have issues with attaching/gluing fretwork to a backer and trying to avoid squeeze out. Has anyone tried scrolling a pattern with this stuff already stuck on the back of the panel? Does it cut or does it get caught up in the blade and make a mess?
  2. The manufacturer's site and the Amazon site talk about using it with plastic and metal but do not mention wood. So I have to ask, does it work with wood? But from the comments posted here I think I already have an answer.
  3. Welcome back Scott/Iggy! Don't be a stranger. I am amazed at the number and variety of animal puzzles.
  4. I see the wine spilling of course, that is easy, especially after you have pointed it out. But, ignoring that for the moment and looking at the outline, I see a dwarf with a heavy pack on his back, leaning forward and facing to the right. I'm having coffee, it's too early to start into the wine.
  5. I can think of some people who I would like to send this to. But then, as it says, it would not fix the problem.
  6. Kevin @kmmcrafts, just a thought, I haven't tried it, but it might work. Dip the ornament in paint and sand the surface back to bare wood after it dries. You would of course have to use a paint that does not penetrate into the wood.
  7. Very nice Richard, the colors certainly do pop! And nice logo. also use a small laser for my logo.
  8. Very nice Bob. The toys look good and the colors really pop.
  9. @Gonzo There seems to be a problem with the link to that website. Can you provide a good link please.
  10. And Advanced Machinery has a special on right now for a Hegner.
  11. I also got that email. My TAS (Tool Acquisition Syndrome) is twitching. But I don't know where I would put another tool in my small shop.
  12. That clock is amazing! I doubt we could do anything like that now. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Frank, I think you did very well regarding the light source. Enjoy your holidays and we will look forward to seeing you next year.
  14. Very nice and pretty! How big around are they and how thick is the plastic?
  15. Please show us a picture of the pen when it is done @JTTHECLOCKMAN. That poem was very meaningful to my father and the saying is the title he used for his autobiography.
  16. Very nice, very effective @FrankEV. The picture tells a story. And it hits home for me, having spent a good deal of time on the beach. The colors make it and the wood is the perfect color for the sand. Did you do the black highlights on the flip-flops with the airbrush?
  17. Very nice Bernd! Great detail work. Some of that looks quite delicate.
  18. Has anyone used this? It is advertised as double-sided woodworking tape. They say it has good holding quality but removes easily from wood, leaving no residue. Sounds interesting. I wonder if we could use it in place of blue painters tape. We could put it on the wood in place of the blue tape, then stick the pattern directly to it with no need for any additional glue. And we could use it to hold pieces together as in stack cutting. I am sure there are / will be many other uses. 19. Very well done Dave! The airplane is super. I also like the way you used the features in the backer board so the coloration in the wood gives the appearance of clouds behind the airplane while the lettering is in light colored wood.
  20. I managed to kill one vacuum cleaner with the constant on/off. A little bit of research indicates that this is indeed the case.
  21. Very nice Richard! I use a discarded CPAP hose for the same purpose.
  22. Beautiful work Don!
  23. Very nice work Danny. I don't think I have ever seen a cross pattern quite like that one.
  24. I had a Wen 4208 and eventually gave it to my son and got a Wen 4214 for myself. My issues with the 4208 include the lack of a hand crank as BadBob mentioned, the throat depth (8" vs 12"), and the spindle travel (2" vs 3"). In addition, the 4214 has the laser spotter, a work light, a lever to control the speed and a readout for the speed. And I got it on sale for $215.
  25. Very nice Frank, striking pattern made better with excellent cutting and colorization. I can visualize it in B&W and can see that the grey highlights for the wings and body make a big difference. I would also be interested to see it in color, so please post that if and when you decide to do it.
