  1. Today is/was "organize day". I gathered up what' I've cut out since I started a year and a half ago and laid it out on one of the guest beds. This is what I came up with, minus the Christmas decorations and some things I've cut out and given away. I plan to finish the pieces hope to sell them at a farmers market this summer. Now I have to figure out how to display them - my wife said I couldn't take the bed!
  2. WAAAAAAAY to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Ya done GOOD!
  4. My public library has "The Book of Inkscape" , 2nd edition, 2022. A mere 500+ pages of the definitive guide to the graphics editor. For those want to learn a little (lot) more about Inkscape and/or can't sleep at night check out your local library.
  5. I think they would sell! Way to go.
  6. Life has been getting in the way of my Scroll Saw addiction. Figuratively speaking, it seems like when it rains, it pours - - - A MAJOR house remodel project for my brother's house. Family health issues. Family car repairs. Repurposing a Scamp camper into a mobile coffee dispensary. And the list goes on . . . Then Murphy's Law paid me a visit with what I think is a bad bearing - Man, the scroll saw is making a racket when it's running. Hopefully, I'll get to it in the next couple of days -AFTER having to drive to the camper's work site to get some of my tools to work on the scroll saw. But all in all, life is still good. And maybe, just maybe things will settle down and I'll get to cut some more patterns on the list.
  7. Welcome from the First State. You are gonna like it here. Lots of good people and tips and tricks.
  8. Yeah, that one has been on my hit list ever since I saw it. Well Done!
  9. Beautiful work.
  10. Ah yes - the neighbor (Wilson) from Mr. Ed?
  11. Very nice cutting and richly attractive.
  12. Welcome from Delaware. You'll like it here - lots of good people with good info and scroll works.
  13. CONGRATS on a good beginning. May it continue for the year. I'm going to try my luck this year at our Farmers Market. Excited, and figure the worst that could happen is that nothing sells . . . on the other hand, that's not so bad. .. it means I'll have presents for family and friends for the next year (or two).
  14. Is it OK to submit some things I cut out last year? My DW has just started making a gosh-awful noise, so I'm dead in the water until I open her up and see what I see. Anyway, here's 3 SG patterns I cut out when I got started out last year. Oh, and one of the eggs lettering broke up bigtime when my sister-in-law dropped it on her floor (heavy sigh).
  15. In a word - WOW!
  16. For this time of year it make a powerful statement.
  17. Roger that! Today I cut on 3/4" pine, 1/2" red oak, and 1/4" Baltic Birch. The differences in cutting speed, feed rate, and blade lasting sharpness was noticeable.
  18. Many years ago I remember hearing about a rock and guitarist who played so much and so hard that his some of the calluses on his fingers came off - and he put them back on with CA and kept playing.
  19. Another fine suggestion. . . Love this forum!
  20. Good to know! I'm writing that down.
  21. The kids got me a Craftsman combo deal from Lowes for Christmas: It came with Air Compressor (CMEC6150) with 3 nailers - 23 (CMPPN23)/ 18 (CMPBN18SB) / and 16 (CMPFN16SB) gauge. I've used it a couple times for stack cutting and once for making a plywood box to hide our folding chairs in the utility room. The pin nailers Really came in handy for making the box. I've got a couple other large projects I'll look forward to using them on too.
  22. Well, I guess I'm regressing to my boyhood youth when I read a lot of comics. Here's another one I just finished cutting out. A SG pattern - will be painted with a yellow background and Red letters. Had some scrap 3/8" inch ply leftover from an earlier project and couldn't resist. I'll take it to the Farmer's Markey this summer and try my luck. Finally having the time to do some cutting and enjoying it a lot. Another one down and 253 patterns left to go from my binder 'o patterns.
  23. Thanks for the suggestions - I'll try them. The Craftsman pin-nailer I have lists 1/2" inch as the shortest it will take, but I've seen 3/8" inch pin nails on Amazon with an answered question that they would work on any pin-nailer. I may spring for a box of them just to see if they work.
  24. Yep, it is listed as Mustang.
  25. The black tablecloths are a good idea - better contrast. May your new season be better than your last season.
