  1. You cut out a really good pose with an attitude. I like it.
  2. Beautiful work of art. It's good to be retired.
  3. Nice work. And I really like the fonts.
  4. What a coincidence! We were just there last month visiting the kids. We had lunch at a pizza place that was really(x3) good.
  5. I went the route of a 20 inch box fan and HVAC filter placed as close as possible to the saw - was AMAZED at how much and how fine the sawdust was that it collects. Reminds me of flour. I also periodically vacuum the buildup of sawdust that falls to the table and floor.
  6. That is an original I like. Looks like a best seller to me.
  7. Looks good to me. Keep 'em coming.
  8. Welcome. You will love it here - something for everyone.
  9. Here's something I found on FB Marketplace - looks like a Type 1 DeWalt. From what I recall reading on the forum, the Type 1s are supposedly better made. Yes?
  10. I LIKE it! I have a similar one and I'll have to add this one to it.
  11. You take the prize for CUTE!
  12. Interesting - this (price difference) has happened to me twice in the past couple months, also at Lowes. They made it right, but now I'm looking closer at everything I buy there and elsewhere.
  13. Yeah, roger that! I have on my "to-do" list making a large cabinet for my wife's cake making equipment, but decided to wait until (hopefully) the price increasing bubble bursts.
  14. Thought I'd share a "Duh - dope slap" moment with you in hopes it helps someone not have the same experience. . . So there I was . . . printing off a Steve Good pattern using Inkscape to make the cutting lines red. The pattern: "Baseball Teams" consists of 4 pieces - a base with slots and three other pieces with tabs to fit into the base plate. I discovered that if I turned the Printer's "Borderless" setting to "on" the pattern on the printed page is stretched 1/4". I learned this after cutting out one of the pieces with tabs and found the tabs would not line up with the corresponding base slots. It baffled me for a time until I realized the page of the base plate was printed using the printers "Borderless" setting set to off - and the other pieces were printed on a different page with the Borderless setting set to "on". It had me going for awhile, but after some experimenting I got the "Aha" (translation: You dummy!).
  15. You're going to love it here!
  16. More Ooohs and Ahhs!
  17. I LIKE it!
  18. All are nice to look at. And thanks for sharing - - - I get all mentally locked up when it comes to finishing a piece color wise and your works helps me realize there is a wide range of color/finish that will work with most pieces. I guess Perfection is subjective.
  19. Lots of ooohs and ahhhs on this end. Really well done!
  20. Excellent cutting!
  21. Back from vacation now and saw your post. I had a similar problem with the used DW I bought when I started out this past January. My two solutions were to replace the connecting rod and build a 3-legged sturdy wood stand for it with a pad between the stand and the scroll saw base. I added retractable casters to the stand to allow easy movement around the garage. Oh, and I also cleaned all the bearings and used Valvoline grease on them. Those actions fixed my noise/vibration issues.
  22. that must have taken forever! Well done!!!
  23. What a coincidence - I just made one of these for my son's B/day! Next time I'll add the felt/cloth - nice touch! It looks great.
  24. This place is host to a wealth of information from some really gifted scroll sawing people - you hit the jackpot here! - come on in, the water's fine!!!
  25. Looks like a Red Letter Day for you! Well Done.
