  1. I too have been away from the saw, moved ,post some pictures and inspire me.
  2. I like mine I just found a piece of wood to put under the arm just before it locks into place.I can't wait till I can get back into it.
  3. Keep trying and let us know what you come up with, i would like to make a project like that, in the process of cleaning the shop for moving, I discarded a number of memories and well intended failures.
  4. Inspirational, it shows even a beginner can make things like a seasoned scroller. You must be very talented.
  5. Possibly a hobby lobby store? Or maby buy another item with the lights you need and pitch the rest.By the way nice ornament.
  6. Very cool, I can't wait until I can get my shop back in order, we're moving and it's all in storage
  7. Doesn't seem to bother some, their building around me like things are free, then complain how much it cost.
  8. I have a few logs and chunks from a tree that fell ,I made some drink costers with some, you could also use for scroll saw bowls if your into that.
  9. Would be nice to have a preview of the hot weather today. North Indiana
  10. Enjoy the hobby and the saw, lots of great advice on this site, don't judge your first projects on the blades you were supplied with. Welcome to a great hobby.
  11. Some people say winter, I hate it, me since I found sawing and turning, I welcome it,in the process of looking for a different house with bigger shop!
  12. A question, is it better to use a soft wood like pine or a harder wood?
  13. I'll keep this in mind if I want to go flying, my e bicycle will go 28mph.
  14. Thanks, i'm thinking a skip tooth # 2 3 or 4?
  15. Just learning the basics, what blade is good or better for cutting 3/4 hard wood,I enjoy making puzzles and bowls.
  16. I made some this way, still have some.
  17. Thanks that's what I was looking for
  18. Not knowing any difference, I would say the compound cuts. When I cut two sides and a object appears.
  19. I thought I found some on the pattern sharing page, are they still here?
  20. That's what I call a big boy toy.
  21. Thanks for the offer, my older brother has gotten out of wood working, and gave me a truck load of pieces of stock for scroll saw patterns and pieces 1/2 in and thicker. Also we are going to be moving, Darlene is already questioning my sanity for saving the wood I already have.
  22. A very good point from probably one of the most experienced with running and rebuilding these saws. One of the reasons I purchased the Hawlk from you, also the price and your honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if it would be running until I run out of projects.
  23. Not to cause a stir but when have you been to a power tool store that allows you or me to fiddle with the heavy power tools? I'm happy with mine but I am not running a business with it. And I am still using the clamps that came with the saw. I want to give it a fair chance to prove itself along with the saw before a honest report. I have always had a good experience with the Harbor freight staff and tools.
  24. Kevin, great job on the leopard, where would i get a hour meter for a saw, might be a good idea to keep track of the hf saw.
