  1. I guess I'm getting old and senile ..
  2. Thanks for everyone's input here I appreciate it and I'll pick up a few dozen different blades to give them a whirl. I'm a little hyper and like to mix things up I can't see myself sicking to one style I like to push myself, so again with all you help I'll have a decent assortment of blades to attack the unknown with !
  3. Thanks John, as I said in another thread I'll give the Olsen's a try. + 1 on the Wooden Teady Bear that's where I've been getting my FD blades from !
  4. I'm just lurking on this thread to see pictures of Scrappile wearing the ear rings (why isn't there a eating popcorn emoji)
  5. Agreed! My go to is FDUR #3 and #5 that's why I have 2 gross of them, and I've found a need for a spiral blade every now and then. My problem is that I have no real idea what else there is or how they perform, also I haven't found my nitch yet and I'm cutting anything from 1/8 to 1 3/4 thick. Plywood, MDF,hardwood and pine. So asking this question helps me look at other blades to try, plus a dozen blades here and there won't break the bank.
  6. So ..... It was bought up in another thread I made. What are your go to blades and sizes you must have in your collection? So far I've got a few dozen each FDUR #2.0 through #7 apart from #3#5 which I have a gross each. Couple of dozen MGT #2.0 through #12 Couple dozen FD spiral #3.0 through #7 So make me a list and if you have a specific use for them please tell
  7. Welcome to the village!!
  8. My 19 year old daughter saw Willie this summer at the Illinois state fair she was blown away. They breed and show pigs and goats so they camp down there for the entire fair.
  9. Welcome to the village !
  10. Welcome to the village you have come to the right place !
  11. Thanks John, after a night's sleep I've come to realize I've just not cut enough wood yet to not only try different blade makes but also different styles. You can also throw different saws into the mix too, as I find the Delta more aggressive than the hawk. For any type of thin material so far the FDUR work well for me on either saw, on 3/4 plus hardwood I feel the FDUR works better in the Delta than the Hawk, but the Pegas MGT works really well in the hawk but as John said with the varing length constant adjustment between blades just make me not want to mess with them. I'll try the olsen blades next.
  12. I bought this one a while back because I figured a tank would keep the air pressure even, I haven't had the time to play with it yet but when I do I'll report back T TOGUSH Air Compressor Kit with 2 Airbrushes Cleaning Airbrush Kit Double Action Airbrush Painting Tools https://a.co/d/fGS5c5N
  13. Bare in mind I'm a beginner and know nothing, I have the same problem as Kevin with the Pegas blades in the hawk, and on the Delta each blade acts slightly differently. I threw what's left of the 6 dozen that I bought in the draw and went back to the URFD I was using beforehand, I know a lot of you guys love them but probably because of my lack of skill I'm not partial to them. The FD blades for me are more predictable maybe I'll try again at a later date when I've improved some. On the good side for the pegas blades they seem more aggressive and seem to stay sharper longer.
  14. Thanks for the comments guys, I'm not seeing any burning but being inexperienced I think I'm pushing mine to far. I think I'm Concerntrating on what I'm doing more than what's happening that's why I asked.
  15. I know there's no hard and fast rules but how often should you be changing blades?
  16. Ditto....
  17. Thanks Barb! Appreciate that!
  18. Any idea who's pattern it is and where I might find it ?
  19. Thanks Foxfold I'm going to pick some up tomorrow, I was going to today but got sidetracked with car repairs and curtains, strange mix !
  20. Lots of info here, thank you. I like your approach of trying to stop the fuzzies rather than preparing to sand them afterwards !
  21. Thanks Scrappile for taking the time out to answer. I have a couple of mops Which I have turned down the shaft to fit in a to rotary tool but like you I'm looking for a suitable motor to bench mount it
  22. Love the compass!
  23. Same as my finishing question really as I need to up my game. How do you sand these intricate peices? I'm sure you all do it differently. Tools, methods and tricks ?
  24. Thanks Ray, I've been meaning to give this a try for a while !
