  1. Looking at all your pieces reminded me of my Beginning with Steve Good's patterns. Cut most of what you show. First you did a Real Good job of Scrolling. Neat and clean cuts. I did kind of Graduate into more Detailed patterns which I found a Challenge. Stick with it and we all will look very much forward to seeing more of your Scrolling. Danny :+}
  2. Well I gotta put my 2 cents in..................FD-UR #1 BLADE IIS MY BLADE TO USE FOR 90% OF ALL MY CRAFTS UP TO 3/4". Never cut any of the exotic Hard Woods. Danny :+}
  3. Pete I simply Love the way your saw is Dust Free after Scrolling. I wish to eventually set up something like yours. Haven't decided how yet. Still investigating and asking questions. I VERY MUCH ENJOYED WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS WITH YOUR ....HOW TO.... Thanks for showing this Interest. Did teach me things.... Danny :+}
  4. Well for your FIRST TIME I would say you are already in a class of Very well Experienced Talent. I love cutting these. YOURS LOOK TOP OF THE LINE.... Danny :+}
  5. Thanks for ALL the Posts. Don I have had that same set up for many, many years. It does a OK job with the square fan and Filter catching the majority of the sawdust. I still get a little sawdust that just doesn't get captured and consequently it floats ALL OVER THE PLACE. Anyway I do thank you for your input................................Danny :+}
  6. HAS ANYONE RIGGED UP THEIR OWN WAY TO SUCK THE SAWDUST VIA VACUUM TUBES FROM BOTTOM AND TOP? WOULD JUST LOVE TO READ HOW YOU RIGGED IT. THANKS..................Danny :+}
  7. This is a Wonderful Story Dan. Bet I could learn a thing or two during one of your classes. Did I say....You a Great Guy.... Danny :+}
  8. These are EYE CATCHERS FOR SURE. Like Dan said Classic and love the way you painted each. Would Love to cut them myself.......................Well done on your Scrolling.... Danny :+}
  9. Well here is my review on this ASH VAC. Somewhat QUIETER than my regular shop vac. Comes with a bag that attaches to the top. Does not have the normal exhaust either in the back or top like normal shop vacs. Made out of Metal. On the smaller side for shop vacs. Rolls around. Not very heavy. Is Black. Comes with 3 lengths of tubing plus extras. Will figure out how to connect the Flex tubing for use on my Scroll Saw. Vac will only operate when the Dead Mans Switch is pushed. Thats it, but like another said a normal shop vac would work OK. This one being not as loud is a Plus for me. Danny :+}
  10. Thanks for your thots.... I have been using the box fan/filter and small fan for years. IT DOES CATCH A LOT....BUT.... LIKE SYCAMORE67 SAID ....it still allows Lots OF THE DUST TO FLOAT ALL OVER.... I really want to convert my work area to our Garage. Will give this Experimental Ash Vac a go and Hope For the Best.... WILL KEEP THIS POST UP TO DATE ABOUT MY PROGRESS....OR.... Oh yea....Want to hook this ash vac to the plug for the dead mans switch....................... ANY PROS OR CONS ABOUT THIS HOOK UP? .Thanks again..............Danny :+}
  11. IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS TYPE VACUUM WOULD WORK BETTER THAN THE NORMAL SHOP VAC. FOR HELPING TO CONTROL THE DUST WHILE SCROLLING. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE USED THIS METHOD? AND IF SO COULD WE READ MORE ABOUT IT? ALSO WOULD IT BE WORTH THE WHILE TO RIG UP A SYSTEM LIKE IS ALREADY OUT THERE FOR THE DEWALT 788 AND A COUPLE DEWALTS ON ANOTHER BRAND SCROLLSAW? A MICKEY MOUSE THING. THANKS FOR ANY INPUT.......................Danny :+} BAD ASH VACCUM.htm
  12. Outstanding first look. Your Scroll Talent is Great. Love this pattern.............Danny :+}

  14. Yes did have this pattern years back. Started off with my Scrolling in Steves place. That pattern pops up from time to time and to intimidating for me, so it gets shuffled back again........:+} Yours came out....Outstanding. Great work Jerry............Danny :+}

  16. AND OVER 24 HOURS NOW AND ITS STILL HANGING....Yea! I feel sure about this bond, so have applied the saw-tooth hangers to the crafts that I think will be hung on a wall. Yea! Roly just want you to know that if you could send me your coat I would hang it and see. Hehe Well this has been Fun and a Learning thing for me. Thanks to EVERYONE for their comments.............Danny :+}
  17. JUST DECIDED TO ADD THIS BIT CONCERNING MY QUESTION DAYS AGO ABOUT HOW TO SECURE A ....SAW TOOTH HANGER.... TO THE BACK OF A ....PLAQUE OR AND ON A 1/8" BACKER WHICH IS WAY TO THIN TO SCREW OR NAIL A HANGER ON. Anyway..................................................I experimented with different methods (GLUES ETC) Pic attached showing a piece of 1/2" BB ....HANGING.... after using ....E6000 and letting it do its thing overnight. The spot where I used the E6000 had been stained prior to this. I have tugged and knocked at the hanger and it IS SECURE. This will do.... Thanks for all your tips. Danny :+}
  18. My Very First Feelings when first viewing a finished craft is a Wow! Outstanding Scrolling (as your usual). Good Luck on the Show....Danny :+}
  19. Has a Striking Good Look. Well done my Friend......Like Kevin mentioned. Big hit with Sis.... :+}
  20. I Appreciate Every Reply very much. Never used EPOXY, so will investigate and give it a try. The tip with gluing a 1/8" piece to back of backer sounds like it will work great. YES..YES.... I am so Thankful that I found this Great Family of Woodworkers/Scrollers.... Danny :+}
  21. Have been using 1/8"BB as backers lately. Never gave a thought about Hanging them. Saw-tooth hangers is my go to, but How does one Secure them to only 1/8" Did experiment with Gorilla Glue and E6000.... Only gave each a Hour drying time. Both Failed. ....SO.... MY QUESTION AND MAIN CONCERN IS HOPEFULLY SOMEONE OUT THERE HAS A ....PROVEN METHOD.... And would let us know. Thanks in Advance Danny :+}

  25. Well Friends Finally I have completed this project. Its made from 1/2" BB backer piece with 1/4" BB other pieces. Finished it with Walnut Stain (backer) and the good ole 50/50 mixture for the words. Angles are another stain. Jesus is combo of walnut and neutral Danish Oil. Rounded over the edges and sanded. Would appreciate your viewing and giving me the Pros n Cons of your thoughts. In Advance .... I Thank You..............Danny :+}
