That seems very interesting, it didn't cross my mind. What is your reccomendation? I had a look to some devices and you can get some for less than 50$ and others for 500$.
You're right, it definitely resembles pine. I work mainly with pine because I can get it for free locally. I also agree that the grain can be tricky to navigate; it's hard to keep the cut on track. Also, I’d say that item is a bit overpriced.
I agree with all of you that free is always an excellent choice. But what I like the most is the feeling of giving these pieces of wood a second chance.
