  1. Well done. I enjoyed seeing this piece. Well cut and well painted.
  2. Love the Bible verses. Excellent how you cut and backed it. Looks like a poster.
  3. As Rusty said.... Too big of a blade causes chipping. Teeth are too large, too agressive.
  4. Nice job cutting. Thats what my wife sais about my 'frying'.
  5. Follow Charlie!
  6. You sure do a great job cutting them. Impressive and I like the wood selection. Just some word play. You have cut a 'Convocation' of Eagles. One improvement I see you may make is to route the outer edge of the frame.
  7. Wow. fantastic. Got me lost for words.
  8. Bill, welcome back. As for the noise, make as much as you want and I agree about the dirt but sawdust is ok.
  9. The horses ofcourse are now in the barn.
  10. Welcome! That is impressive work both with creating your own patterns and cutinig with a hand fret saw
  11. It is quite impressive to look at all the black and know that was cut. Tony, the answer is 'Yes'. Where you see 'black' is where Dave cut. He either glued black background on or the picture was taken with the 'Cabin' lying on something black. I should have let Dave answer this, sorry Dave ...
  12. Both of these are great. Have to look again to see which one I like best. The box is so well made and the plane is unique. Double winners.
  13. I see it as Big Brother with his little Sister. What a fine cutting and well framed.
  14. You're a pro already. All look great.
  15. I like that. Well done!
  16. Very nice cutting and the picture looks like a future pattern. Oh, and how did you sign it? With a burner?
  17. Paul, it looks like a picture! Love the live edge, that adds so much character. So it is a unique piece and a real nice piece of work.
  18. That grease is fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Use it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Hi JIm......Welcome!
  20. 3billy3.... .... Welcome! Show me. WE need to check, inspect, scrutenize, examine, screen, assess, evaluate and appraise for ourselves such much improved work. It is a great forum and you can learn all these skills right here at the Village. While yer hanging around.... fix some tea and coffee. Got any sweets?
  21. Yes, I used them when I first started... 10-15 years ago. A good all alround blade then. Too expensive from the hardware store and Lowes to continue using them. also, not a good selection.
  22. Good deal Ike////// cut awaay....
  23. I use Minwax paste maybe once a month.
  24. Right on Charlie!!!!!!
  25. Dave, ... You tightened the blade until ... any more would be forcing? By the way... blades do stretch, (yea I know... not much) and there is slippage and you may need to tighten while you cut.
