4 weeks until Pitchers & Catchers HAVE to report, and me and my friend can hardly wait.  I saw a picture on Pintrest and took a screen shot, then made my version of my little friend, he will take up residence on a wall in my office because my desk has been declared a hazard zone and I don't know when I will get to cleaning it.  We are both looking forward to #28.

So far, we have had a very mild winter.  High 30's and low 40's with a few low 50s thrown in.   But hang on, February can sometimes be our worst.

@barb.j.enders Barb, thanks for the heads up, I had no idea that was Steve's pattern,I confess that I can never find a pattern I want in Steve's catalog, so, I have not tried in a long time.  Thanks for sharing that information, I certainly had no intention of pirating Steve's pattern.

Thank you all for the very kind remarks, I have since learned that this may have been an original Steve Godd pattern of a Valentine piece that someone altered.

Steve is quite happy to have his patterns altered.  Just wants to be credited.   I also altered the pattern.....or at least I had @Don in Brooklyn do it.  And yes, ut can be challenging to find a pattern in his catalog.

Weather wise, we have been on a roller-coaster!  Today -32 C without windchill.  Friday we had a blizzard.   Not much snow but very srtong winds,  temp was only -5C.  Ealier in Jan we were above zero.

I'm a bit south of Barb.  We've got -16F that feels like -40F.  This morning when I left home it was -20F, but I didn't look for a wind chill.  

February is usually worse than January.  Yay!

Bob, I believe, I read somewhere that Steve does not put his patterns in any special catagory in his catalog.  I think someone does it for him, or used to do it for him.  I think I recall him saying on his site not too long ago, that his daughter or son-in-law may have helped him.  No matter, I did not mean what I said to be a complaint, Steve is very generous in posting all his patterns free of charge, and I thank him for that.  

Maybe I should stop posting until I learn how to use the english language a little better.

I would not be too concerned about it. I have discussed this with Steve in the past. He is slightly better with the names, but I think he still lives in the old DOS 8.3 naming convention.

I am confused! I thought that if you paid for the pattern you could make that item and/or sell that item. Or course you can not copy and sell the pattern. So please explain,

You are correct.  You cannot copy & sell a pattern.  Anything you make you can sell or give away the product.  Generally though, credit should be given to the pattern designer.

One would sure think so but not. We are warm for the same reason the fires are spreading. The warm winds coming in off the desert are what is driving both our warm days and the out-of-control wildfires. It's a shame but also a fact of life for So. Cal. We can count on 3 things, earthquakes, mud slides and wildfires. Other than that, it's not a bad place to live. Now, if we could just get the political situation back under control........
