My best project to date.

Not that that's saying much. This is the third project I cut on the Scroll Saw but I've only just completed the rest of it. I'm very pleased with how it turned out and wanted to share.

The pattern is a Steve Good design but I gave it a new frame/edging. Its hard to see in this image but the frame is paddle-pop sticks.

My sister took the photo, she has a better camera than I do.

• Thanks for sharing Archer.  Doing that first one really makes one feel good.  My first one was the outline of a cat.  Gave it to the neighbor girl who loved cats.  Both of us were happy.

I never actually noticed the grain. The wood was a scrap offcut and that was the only way the pattern fit. You're right though. Thanks for pointing that out. I like it even more now, lol.

Thank you Charlie E. You are so right about more cuttings to come, I have so many patterns just waiting to be cut.

I'm currently cutting my nineteenth pattern, which is a pattern very similar to this one, from the same Steve Good file. 

I'm cutting it in silky oak.
