I just got a phone call from Scrappile's (Paul Douglass) wife informing me that Paul suffered another stroke and was in the hospital. This was his third stroke and his left hand is still closed but his can once again move his am and can walk while assisted in the hospital. I sure hope he recovers completely and I am asking for prayers for him. He is a wonderful stroller and as you all probably know, he has recently started to do some intarsia. I personally met Paul for lunch probably about 14 years ago and we have become really good friends.

I just wanted everyone in The Village to know why it will probably be some time before we are privileged to see his wood working, if at all again.

Thanks for the family giving you the information and having you share here. Always look forward to Paul’s posts. I’m sorry to hear he has had another setback in his health. Prayers 🙏🏻 for his recovery. For those of you in close contact with Paul and his family, please keep us updated and let us know if there is somewhere we can send notes or cards to Paul perhaps.

I had called Paul and left a voice mail. I received a text msg back from Paul's son. He is in a rehab facility and is getting better every day. He does say it will be a long way to go to gain his independence. His mind is still sharp and clear but he is a little self concious about his speach but it is getting better. He said he will contact me when he is better. Encouraging news.

Hello Friends, this is his son, I just read through this thread with my dad.   He is very grateful for all the thoughts and prayers.   He is anxious to get back to his shop and interact once again  with this crowd.   He misses you guys.

Tell your dad this little corner of the web is a bit quieter and we need his input.

All the best for rehab and a speedy recovery.
