Sean, you can get all the info you need about scrolling, by participating and asking questions here on the Village. There's other scrolling sites that have lots of info also, you just have to read their forums. As for patterns, you can find some on here as well, just check out the pattern library. All scrollsaw sites have pattern libraries, that's another good reason to check out other sites. As for a good pattern book, there's many, it all depends on what type of pattern your looking to cut. There is one good magazine that you might want to look into, it's called Scrollsaw Woodworking and Crafts. It's published about 7 times per year, and it covers a lot of scrolling subjects. Len

If you are very careful with what your doing, you should not have any glue squeeze-out. I never have glue squeeze-out, but, I'm stingy with the glue. You can see beforehand where the possibility of a glue squeeze exists, so, you use less glue in those situations. I usually screw the base to the cutting, there's less of a chance of a failure. Plus, by using screws, you can always take the item apart for storage. Len

I agree with Heppnerguy (Dick), if you do as he has suggested you'll be headed in the right direction. Sure, I agree with reading books, but, I get more out of seeing something done then I do from reading about how something is done. Len

Iggy, there's a big difference between a #3 blade, compared to a #3/0 blade. The #3 blade is meant to cut wood with,a #3/0 blade is considered a jewelers blade. Len

Nicely done Monti, when I first saw them I thought the halos were all broken. But after giving them another look, I realized that what I was seeing was that they had a string through each one. One thing I did notice though, it look like you didn't sand them after cutting them out. What makes me think that, is that there's some fine fuzzies around the edges of a few of them. Len
