I use both thicknesses depending on what I am doing. If I'm using a backing, I like the 1/8" but for a stand alone, I like the 1/4".
I have had it special ordered at both HD and Lowes as well as my local lumber yard.
Kudos to you. Doesn't it feel great to know that what you are doing benefits other people. Selling is nice because it helps support the habit but doesn't give the same feeling as giving to someone.
Just finished this plaque for my uncle who is a WWII vet of the navy. Also did a second one for myself as I am finally getting to complete some things for my wall.
Another one slips to the dark side. I have some spirals that are probably rusting away in the drawer. I used them several years ago when doing a large frame and hated every minute of it. Guess I am too old to learn new tricks.
This is the second part of the gift I am doing for a local Viet Nam Vet. I could not find the name of the designer of the intersecting word part. I added the emblem. If anyone knows who designed this, please let me know.
Nicely done and sure to be well appreciated. I know what you mean about not having enough time, I am so tired from retirement that I don't get much accomplished.
Welcome from a neighbor to the north (MO) and former resident of Harrison, AR. You have found a good group with only a few that you have to watch out for.
I finally have this cut but no finish yet. It will be a thank you gift for a local Viet Nam vet that is suffering from exposure to agent orange. His wife asked me to make a couple of items for him and doesn't know yet that there will be no charge for these. They will be my thank you for his service.
I forgot to mention that this is a Sue Mey pattern.
Well done, really like that version. Joe, you might ask your local lumber yard or big box store about ordering it for you. I can have it ordered from Meeks or even Home Depot or Lowes. Check at the contractor desk.
Will be interesting to hear how you like them. I have the replacement knobs from Seyco and they work great with no modification but the knobs are plastic and are a little rough but definitely help my arthritic fingers. May try a little light sanding to smooth out the sharper edges.
