  1. Beautiful work Marg.
  2. You have been busy. That is beautiful.
  3. Very nicely done. I am a firm believer in less is more so not sure that you need a backer as when hung the wall becomes the backer.
  4. Boy, have you ever accumulated points. Maybe its time to need a new tool.
  5. You are quick. I have the patterns printed but thats all. I don't have any 1/8" hardwood so have been trying to figure out how to substitute without using ply. I have some 1/4" walnut that came off the walls of an old house. It has a lot of nail holes but at least the guy that gave it to me planed one side so found any missing nails.
  6. Great job. Someone is going to be very lucky.
  7. Tension may be the cause as my DeWalt never goes above 4 and usually 3.5.
  8. That is fantastic and would make a great seller in TX.
  9. A good idea but I hope noone around here see's it as my shop is too small to make something that large and the weather is not cooperating about working outside.
  10. Welcome back and hoping that everything is doing better now. Cataract surgery should really help with your scrolling.
  11. I started my scrolling experience back in the late 60's and have used everything from an antique Delta to several other Deltas as well as an RBI and now have a DeWalt. I have never had the problem of blade slippage on any of the machines nor needed to sand the blades. Have used blades from the hardware store to Olsens and FDs without a problem.
  12. Looks great. I really like the cedar. A little naval jelly and some steel wool will defeat the rust.
  13. That is pretty wood, looks almost like oak.
  14. I use a lot of 1/8" BB and rather than use a backer, I stack cut 3 or 4 which helps with the control. I do use the blue tape, got some purple which doesn't stick as well but comes off easier. Had a friend ask for an angel cutout about 3" tall that she could paint and add a grandchild's name. Took some different patterns to show her and wound up with an order from her for 23 and another 25 for another lady. Took one I had cut and sanded to show her to make sure it would work and wound up with another order for 12+ from another lady. I have sworn to stop showing things as it creates more work that I am not looking for.

That is outstanding. I can't imagine that long at the saw as my old bones won't take it anymore.

    VET'S

I served during a time when your service was reviled rather than appreciated. It warms my heart to see the positive response and recognition that vets receive now. I have attended the program put on at our local school and it became a very emotional time for me and was extremely moving. Couldn't attend this year due to health problems. Was asked about participating in the local parade but it is held at a time that I can't be away from home as I am a full time caregiver for my elderly mother.
  17. You might want to consider the Delta 694 Chris as it is a clone of the DeWalt and can be found cheaper.

Outstanding job and I'm sure it will be well received.

Thanks to Chachi for this pattern. Took me a while but finally finished it and then couldn't find where on the computer it was located.
  20. Very well done Marg. You have definitely mastered cutting straight lines.

    Trout

Very nice. I tried stacking some 1/2" oak and swore never again. Think I could have cut them individually in the same amount of time.
  22. Very nice job. I have found that I like either green or red as a backer as it seems to set the piece off well.
  23. Nice job. I have that partially done as I have learned to hate that style lettering.
  24. Those are great and that last one is fantastic although I don't know the size as I don't speak metric.
  25. Lucky son. Looks very real.
