    Heck, everyone in the US, Canada and Mexico can all meat in a central location. It doesn’t get much more central then Nebraska. Come on out and we can rent the Meadow Grove community center for a whole day for $15 and have a grand old time talking shop. It sounds like you two had a blast. I am with Marge thou, WHAT NO PICS. Lol

    I went into Menards yesterday to pick up some pine for a honey do project and stumbled on several pieces of blue pine. Due to the odd color they were in with the cheaper pine. They were nice and straight and very few knots. For $9 I picked up 3 boards ¾â€X5-1/2â€X6’. I was doing my little happy dance all the way home.

    It is never easy to lose a friend and family member. This will give you a keepsake to make you think of the good times. My sister in-law just had one of their dogs put down due to kidney frailer and if I can get her to send me a picture I plan on asking these wonderful pattern makers to make a pattern for me so I can give it to her.

    Thank you for all the compliments. Marge, these take a lot of time and that is something I really don’t have right now. I love to make them and sometime in the future I will make more and this time I will keep a couple for myself. I stack cut a bunch of these out of birch and oak plywood and then stained each one differently so none of them were the same. This one is my mothers and when something happens to her I will get it back. The rest went to my siblings and my X Wife’s sisters.

    I made this one along with about 7 other 3D plaques about 18 years ago. I gave them all away and this is the only one I know the location of to take a picture.

    I was in the shop alright but the wrong one. I put in a 10 hour day to get some parts finished on time. Wish I could have been playing with the scroll saw

    Let’s hope they have the right tool for the right job at DeWalt. I can't imagine having to snap hundreds of those together in a day without my pliers that are designed to do the job. My fingers would wear out after just a few.

    That is what causes the cling of the plastic shavings to your clothes and body. I never would have thought to try something like that Dan. I will have to give it a shot next time I play with plastic.

    I used to climb the windmills to oil and grease them when I was younger. They are still used in western Nebraska to supply water to the cattle. I love the job you did on this one. It looks fantastic, the cutting and the choice of wood is unbeatable.

    Hi Scott! Yes I know what you mean about that nasty thing called working keeping you away from your scroll saw. Awful just awful isn't it, but you have to do what you have to do to keep a roof over our heads and food in the family’s stomachs. All we can do is scroll when we have a little time and enjoy what we do. As mentioned above we love to see pictures even if you don’t think it is good enough, we all make a little decorative fire wood once in a while but mostly we are our own worst critics. Welcome to the village and most of all have fun.
