    A two sided ornament. When you paint both sides they are the same except opposite. I stack cut in 1/8 BB. My own pattern.

    Layered 1/8 inch on 1/8. Some of the pieces small to paint so better half going to try an paint next time but not layered.

    Halloween my favorite time of the year next to Christmas. This is my chute from last year. I am working on revisions as last year was a done quickly due to covid.     Congrats. I am sure it is the same as the original Excalibur series. I have the EX-21 - great saw. I had the original saw 8 years before I put on the Pegas Chuck head. There is a some difference but I found not a lot so I would try it out first.

    Well done. Mini birdhouses are my favorite thing to do. One thing I do is fill the hole with moss. Denny I really like the last one and I don't think I have that pattern. Is that a Diana pattern? Thanks for posting.

    With thick hardwood I always wrap with box tape. I seems to help. I also experiment with blades. If my go-to blade, FD-UR #5, doesn't work I try the MGT or my best luck comes with the FD polar blades. As Denny says you do not want the reverse teeth. Padauk is 1725 on the hardness scale and purple heart is 2090 which I have cut bird houses with polar blades. (slowly)

    I made my own pattern of a goat a few years ago. I just took a silhouette and replicated for front and back removing tail and udder. Middle has tail and udder but no horns or legs. The middle also has slot and hole to get coins out. The big problem was cutting the plexi and affixing. It would be much easier with a hardware you get from Paul Meisel. WHY a goat. I made a deal with my grandkids that if they filled the goat we would buy a couple of goats from UNICEF. Actually they had enough in the goat to buy 2 (their parents stuffed it) and so I bought 2 more. Fun to teach them about donating and what a goat means to an African family.

    I did a couple a few years ago and still have one here. It is just a round circle about 1 inch. Added 4 legs of 1/8 dowel. Whole stool is about 1 1/2 high.

    I used to buy 12 inch pine shelving at home depot cheap. There were some big knots but I used to pick thru the pile and end up with some good clear pine. I went the other day and it was laminated and about a lot more money. I could not find anything that I could rip down to come up with what I wanted. It laminate strips are small and different colours. I did buy one as I am going to paint a project so the laminate hopefully won't show. I ended up buying clear pine.

    This is project number 1. I went to a course at the Durham Woodworking Club put on by Don Gaudet and we cut this Wolf. I had an old Craftsman single speed with pin blades. Never knew about patterns being available, pin less blades, threading the blade, or why the table tilted. We where using DW788 that did not vibrate like crazy. That was on Saturday. I researched machines and ordered a EX-21 on Tuesday - delivered Friday and as they say the rest is history. Best $4 I ever spent.

    I know this is an older post but I would like to know what you use for paint. Is it approved as child safe? I have used vegetable dye but it is not bright. Thanks

    I too like the black background as it is easier to see the get cutting. But I do like the pine stained top. You say "pine Minwax" Is that the puritan pine or the Ipswich Pine. I have a project that I am working on now and I want to stain and this colour would be perfect. Thanks
