  1. Ah thanks Travis that clears it up some what, I read these horror stories about people being sued for copy right infringements it just worries me so that why I ask no harm done thanks.
  2. Thanks again everybody for your kind and encouraging words, Besides the fact that I love doing these circles it's your words of encouragement that keep me making new ones.
  3. Yes Ron 1 more round then 3 hexagons for the one screen
  4. Its actually the pattern that bites the dust meaning its done.
  5. Look familiar? just curious about copyright issues here anyone have any input on this.
  6. Morning Sully I'll take a cup of coffee this morning, well one more day volunteering with meet the artist tour today then I can get back to the saw you have a great day and thanks for the coffee .../Hans
  7. Yes I got this one from geometrip site some are copyright protected the ones I have done so far have all been free, I start out by selecting which one looks most stable then I shade in all the pieces I want to remove with a pencil its hard to see on the picture but its kind of designing in a way cause no 2 pieces I remove can touch one or another and ones thats done of course we drill pilot holes and start cutting. a whole disc takes 6- 8 hours cutting and another 1-2 hours design work.
  8. They call it triply here its 3/16 plywood good on both sides but not near the quality of birch plywood
  9. There is a few straight line in this pattern, little easier on the eyes
  10. Sorry Perk I thought everybody had a turn at it, it was meant as a joke if you look at the pattern you'll see there were no straight lines to be had so it better not be cutting straight, But on a serious note if you find your blade wondering chances are you've turned a lot of corners or rounds and we always favour one side over the other so what happens is you wear the teeth of one side of the blade. When you see this happening there is only one thing you can do and that is change your blade. I hope your enjoying the people at the village they really are a helpful bunch just don't be shy. .../Hans
  11. Well its a bit late for my coffee but I hate to see one drinking alone so I'll have one with you, I'm just taking a break from cutting one more of those round and around things and my eyes are going a bit wonky any way I'll bet your getting a bit antsy waiting for that saw. I remember I bought mine on eBay from a place in California the shipped it to Kentucky first then to Miami then to me it took 2 weeks via UPS and I could track it all the way to their little depots the drove me crazy. Well have a nice day and let us know when you get cutting I'm anxious to see your stuff
  12. Perfect reflection of yourself nice cut and a great pattern.
  13. Beautiful work Dick, I love them both, they should keep you in the good books for a while and buy you some shop time to boot.
  14. Cool I like the idea just something different great job
  15. Thanks for the coffee, I'm on a strict diet no Pastries for me but thank you anyway. I don't think I'll be in the shop today have to run to town today to pay bills( yes its still done manually here not on the computer but strictly cash) so you folks have a great day its a bone chilling 10C here this morning but it will warm up I'm sure.
  16. So happy for you I took delivery of my own Big Yellow Saw an January and haven't stopped cutting since good luck with hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine
  17. I guess what it all boils down to is whether you'll duplicate your piece or not is if your in it for the money side line or otherwise or is it a hobby, for me its a hobby and the pieces I have at home are not for sale so people don't ask but I do make some pieces for sale to recoup my expenses those I may duplicate but it better be worth my while or I won't do it. Here in Mexico people don't see this scroll saw art so they are quite eager to snatch up what ever they can find. I have sold out on several markets in the city so my pieces do sell.
