  1. Not only a fun and interesting one to look at but your wood colors are so perfect....I especially like how the light part of the wood is perfect for the river and the darker part for the land. Dick heppnerguy
  2. The Beatles are a legend in themselves. I remember how much their music was enjoyed by almost everyone, and still is all these years later. They sure had more than their share of sad moments and they all changed so much as they grew older, in appearance. I loved them, yeh yeh, too. I have not seen the top pattern before but it is a good likeness of all of them. Does not Steve Good have a similar pattern made from their album cover, much like your bottom photo? Dick heppnerguy

This is one great piece. I love the pattern. Is this your own pattern? Also a good wood choice. A beautiful project, well worth it's spot on your cross walls. Dick heppnerguy
  4. Not only is this a well cut pattern but I love the comments here on it. This kind of fret work is always a little bit time consuming but always worth the effort as results amaze everyone that sees them. "How can you do that? I could never do that, myself" are the comments one usually receives, upon someone seeing this kind of fret pattern. Nice project....I wonder what you will be cutting next Dick heppnerguy
  5. yes I buy from Denny, also and found him fast and friendly, if I need help on something. I hope others use Denny if they decide to give the Pegas blades a try. At first I found them to be too sharp and aggressive but after trying them a couple of times, they are my 'go to ' blades. The one I used in this post, (#3R mg), is easy to keep on the line, does not leave the fuzzies to worry about and I can use it on any thickness of wood with reliability. I really enjoy these blades a lot. Thank for posting the link, as it may help others as well Dick heppneerguy
  6. One of our good friends passed away yesterday. She had Lou Garrig's disease. Her last few months she had a very tough time even breathing with her machine and was unable to even speak last month. I cut these Sue Mey's plaques and give them to anyone I know who has lost a loved one. They are less money than flowers and I hear 'thank you's" from people I made them for in the past years and how they cherish and have them hanging as a reminder that others care also. Dick heppnerguy
  7. I read the post about how to do away with fuzzies and I believe I have stumbled upon a way not have them in the first place, hence no torches, files or other devices to get rid of what is no longer a problem. What I found out, at least for BB Ply, is using the right blade and the fuzzies just did not happen. I have recently switched to Pegas #3R mg and here is a photo of my project just after cutting it with NO sanding or touch up of any kind. I see no fuzzies in it. Take a look and see for yourself. comments welcome Dick heppnerguy
  8. You and the wife really have things together....together Dick heppnerguy
  9. a nice combination of sign material and very well put together Dick heppnerguy
  10. There you go again with a new idea and with your marketing success, I bet these with be winners also. Dick heppnerguy
  11. What a fun and thoughtful idea. I love it Dick heppnerguy
  12. I have the Sue Mey window pattern but have not gotten around to cutting it yet. thanks for the reminder. I love your mask idea, they are so cute and a great reminder, down the road, to 2020. Who would have thought? Dick heppnerguy
  13. I for one have never given that a thought before. Will be interested in hearing and seeing what you do with this. It could end up being a learning lesson for many here, who knows? Dick heppnerguy
  14. Welcome back and good recovery wishes for you. Do those exercises and things should heal well Dick heppnerguy
  15. Welcome to The Village from Southern Arizona. It sounds like you now have your saw 'on the way'. We had an exchange student from Slovakia in 2009. She was a very delightful and intelligent person and is now married with one baby about a year old. Hope to see some of your projects posted here for us to enjoy, also. Come back often Dick heppnerguy
  16. Welcome to The Village from Southern Arizona where it is still over 100 degrees every day and no North West smoke. Congratulations on your new Hawk saw. I hope you will be posting some of your work so we can enjoy seeing it also. Be sure and post and respond to others as well. That is what makes us a family here and if you do the posts, you too will understand why we consider ourselves to be 'family' here. With all your experience, you probably will be able to lend a hand with questions from newbies to our hobby. Take a look at our pattern library where some members post some of the patterns that they have made and are freely placing them in our library so others may download and take a crack at them, should they choose. You might find some that you like too. Dick heppnerguy
  17. And I have to agree. Not only are both of you talented but it is obvious by your work that you both take pride and care in what you do . Dick heppnerguy
  18. Thank you, It is good to be back on board here. I feel like I am among a lot of good friends here Dick heppnerguy
  19. Wow what a marvelous project. and the idea of a glass backer board is sure perfect for this one. Very well cut. Dick heppnerguy
  20. Well with the painting, it really stands our well. Nice job and two hours well spent Dick heppnerguy
  21. Sounds like you need to go on line and find your wife her own scroll saw or you may end up not having any time on your saw. Dick heppnerguy
  22. You are quite the talented couple. This is a great piece. Do you have someone who is a firefighter in your family or did you make this in honor of those that do that job? Either way, I hope you are planning an presenting this to a member or a station of those in that roll, as I know they would be so delighted to receive it Dick heppnerguy
  23. Good pattern, and nice cutting on your part. Stack cutting helps a lot if you are selling your work or sharing with a friend or family member. I sure do not understand how people can paint a picture as life like as this one is. I just do not have much in the way of talent and I am not motivated enough to try and learn for myself, so I sit here in amazement when I see art like this. Dick heppnerguy
  24. THANKS KEVIN. How did you do with the hurricane ? It looks like everything is OK Dick heppnerguy
  25. I have been in my shop some of the time since I returned to Arizona from Oregon.. I made a name plaque for my granddaughter from a Sam Custodio pattern but I forgot to take a photo of it before I gave it to her and this little rose plaque from a Judy Gail Roberts pattern, I have had for sometime. I am currently working on another intarsia pattern that I will post when I get it finished. The outside temperature today is 108 degrees, beats the tornado on the Eastern side of the U.S.A. and all the fire and smoke on all the western states, right now. Dick heppnerguy
