Welcome Skip. You sound a lot like myself. I started scrolling after I retired and have grown to a point where my shop is one of my favorite places to be. Only draw back to that is my bride of 53 years stays in the house when I am scrolling. I make most of my things for her and I bought her an Ipad so she stays entertained as well. I have not used the saw you are talking about but I do have the DeWalt and an RBI saw. My thought is this saw you are looking at will probably serve you well. Many good scrollers here in The Village have lessor and cheaper saws that they use on a daily basis and they turn our excellent work. it is kind of like a guy can put new brakes on his car with imported tools as well as someone can with Snapon tools. Some are nicer to work with and last longer than others. I like that you have a lot of hobbies which means you are probably not one to sit all day and watch TV.
Do log in as often as you can and you will quickly get to know many of the regulars here and before you know it, you too will be one of the regulars. Just be careful, as not only is scrolling addictive but so is The Village. We are one big, world wide, and very friendly, talented and helpful people like you will have a hard time finding any other place. I also would like to suggest, as i do to a lot of new people here, take time to go the the 'coffee house' because a number of our regulars hang out there just for the connection with other members and have a lot of fun sharing their stories and jokes and whatever else comes up. this is just there for the fun of all.
