  1. this is not something I am putting on here to show any skills because it does not take any to do this. My granddaughter ask me to make this for her when she was visiting here this weekend So I hammered it out for her. Just wanted to let you know I am not sitting around and doing nothing in my shop. Just a little piece she wears around her neck. Dick heppnerguy
  2. Roly, I have screwed up every part of it. i really am Ok with giving it another try. I have had several people ask for it but like Hans said, If I know it is not right, it still is my work that someone would be looking at. Even though I am not the best scroller going, I do still have pride in my work. I try to do what my skills and lack of skill allow me to do or not do. I told my granddaughter that if she made a blouse for someone and one arm was lower than the other one, you would not want to give it to the one you made it for or to anyone else either, and the same goes for my screwed up tower. 3. mine too... Dick heppnerguy

  6. Here you go.
  7. No actually it doesn't look to bad from across the room. What happened was the pattern was not very usable because all the angled lines were a short series of short straight lines and they printed off really poorly on top of that. I had to remake the entire pattern and it has tabs that help to line it all up and I did not like the end grains showing so I divided the distance in half and butt joined them. Big mistake. I ended up not getting the pieces square and I can not live with that. There really is no way i could find to cut the pieces free so, I am cutting them out all over again. if i don't like it, I certainly am not going to display it. That's my story, and I'm stickin to it Dick heppnerguy
  8. Well I almost had my Eiffel Tower finshed when I realized I had really screwed it up and now I have to cut the entire thing all over again. Here is a photo of my wasted efforts. It was a lot of work to throw away but things do not always go the way you would like them to. I started cutting a replacement a couple of days ago. Dick heppnerguy
  9. that will put some pzazz on your pieces, and they deserve that upgrade because you work is worth that special touch. Dick heppnerguy
  10. hey. I was at the store yesterday and decided to see if i could find a really stiff toothbrush for removing fuzzies and I ran across a toothbrush for dentures. It is considerably larger than a regular toothbrush and a lot stiffer. the cost was only $2.49. So I picked one up. Dick heppnerguy
  11. I wouldn't try to sell these but she still is enjoying it and that is the important thing.. Dick heppnerguy
  12. nice job on the ornaments. Danny you are giving away your work,, oh, well, at least you are making a lot of people happy and $140 some dollars will buy a lot of blades and glue and things you need.and material for making these is pretty darn cheap, so there you go Dick heppnerguy
  13. I have the same problem,,maybe they are just blocking out all the most intelligent people from that part of this web site. that is all I can figure out.

  17. It is a truly nice pattern and you did it a real justice, Dan. It will be a nice remembrance every year when the wife unpacks the Christmas decorations. It is sure to be the family favorite long after you are gone Dick heppnerguy
  18. Very nicely done, let me tell you a funny story, Fish. When i was running my give away from my Facebook page, I offered anything on my page for the winner. i was expecting the winner to take a piece of intarsia, as I had quite a few pretty nice pieces there and low and behold, he took my box like the one above. i am not too sure that i really want to cut another one of these. I still have it on my page but I really do not want to cut another. Your is very beautiful and far surpasses mine. I really did not like the wood choice for my project but it was the best i had at the time. Dick heppenrguy
  19. the word artist has struck again nice job, Kevin Dick hepnerguy
  20. You are a true master of inlay, along with Jim. I would have cut them out and not attempted the inlay part, but not you. Great job. I enjoyed see them and i will show them to other people to enjoy too Thank you for your humor part too Dick heppnerguy
  21. We have a foster girl living with us right now and her and I went out to lunch together while my wife was at physical therapy where, sitting on our table was a little triangular puzzle. It had holes with pegs in them and only one hole (of your choice ) is left open. It is played kind of like checkers where you jump over a peg into the open hole and remove the peg that you just jumped. I think most of you probably remember this puzzle. The idea is to try and end up with only one peg remaining on the board. You have to jump to the open hole immediately on the other side of the opposing peg. Anyway, our foster girl really enjoyed it, so when we got home I made her one. I used dowels for the pegs but the one in the restaurant used golf tees.
