One thing that I have learned here on The Village is if Ron has a piece of advice, I buy it..Go back and check out his work he has posted. There is nothing but Excellence coming from this guy, ever

I know you that you know what you are doing, but I would put in another blade and try it again.. still my guess. if you do that and it still does the same thing, all you lost was 10 minutes. If it ends up being the blade, Problem solved..

Larry,
The pattern looks like somethng from a Disney movie.. cute pattern, I have not seen it before. the second one is a Steve Good pattern, I believe. Fun pieces , nicely cut. I am awaiting the next one

this corner shelf is a Steve Good pattern and it is free. I think it is a nice beginner piece because it gives one an opportunity to home their skills and cut a little fret work, It is a very easy one to cut, but gives the appearance of some difficult work. I cut this one in under an hour. I was looking for something quick and easy to pass some time. If you want to try it and do not have Steve Good address it is www.scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com

Here is another of the Dirk Boelman patterns that I purchased from their web-sight, after his death. I am pleased out the outcome of it and I like the pattern a lot too.

Hans, my hero, I have been waiting to see what you were tackling next. We have a bridge in Portland that I have been looking at to make, myself. I still have not gotten back to finish my Eiffel Tower yet, Probably only a 2 day project too. anyway, did you get the pattern from the same place as the Eiffel Tower? Looks like a fun one to do.

Dan,
sorry I am not good at painting things either so i really can't help you, except to say, I would try a regular paint brush and do a couple of light coats, if it were me, but then like I said, my knowledge is zilch.

This was another really quick and easy pattern to cut. only has 5 pieces to cut. Anyone looking to do something that appears to be difficult but is not, give this one a try

I really, really like those.. you have done one of the best jobs that I have seen on Name plaques.. Would you mind sharing the name of the fonts you used here ? Those are sellers for sure, if you are into that

Kevin is right on this one, as far as Craigs list goes.. i have found some good scroll saws there.. i, personally would stay away from the saw in question. I know nothing about the Harbor Freight saw

I just did another quick clock from the Dirk Boelman pattern collection. After Dirk's death I ordered several patterns from their web page at www.theartfactory.com to help his wife, Karen to be assured of some steady income during this sad time of need for her. I have found his patterns to be very quick and easy cuts and I enjoy the results. I am planning on giving some of his clocks to my family this year for Christmas presents. They only take a couple of hours to cut and the clocks are not expensive, so I feel I am giving a gift they should like, while keeping my Christmas gift costs way down. This clock is made from 1/2 inch thick Alder, which I happen to have gotten for free from my grandson. If you have not tried Alder before, it is a really nice wood to cut and finish. I put a coat of mineral oil and three light coats of spray Lacquer then sanded it with 400 grit sand paper. The clock is about 10 1/2 inches high. I hope you like it.
