not a compicated picture to cut but leaves everything clean and enjoyable, The kind of patterns that I love to cut. complexity doesn't always make the most outstanding cuts. Sometimes I find a pattern just to busy to enjoy. This one is excellent, both in simplicity, and end results..Nice job, Doc

that is what I would call a kids prized possetion. I would wager the child receiving this will still have it when they are an adult. Very well done

looks like you got a handle on that one, Gary. I am lucky enough that my light over my workbench gives me plenty of light and I don't have a need for an individual saw light. so I have not had to go through that problem before. Dick heppnerguy

I have a little wood burning stove in my shop, which is a small 16 x 16 foot shop, and today we got rain for the first time in a long time and they are talking about snow for tomorrow, and the temperature was in the low 50's today, so I built me a fire and ended up having my shop door open most of the time. Glad for my little stove, I can cut all winter long. Hey Fish, bring you saw to my house and we can scroll together all winter long. Beats not scrolling for such a long time. And Marg, does it ever get cold in your neck of the woods? you probably don't have a heating system in your entire home, let alone the shop

I had a successful day in regards to my shop work, today. I started the day by giving my intarsia angel to the person who helped me with a financial question and figured out how to get some of my money I had in a savings that seemed to be unobtainable to me. She enjoyed the intarsia angel a lot. Next I received a phone call asking if I would be willing to go to the local paper next week and have my picture taken with the Amish intarsia that I donated to the Hospice group as a fund raiser for them this year. I got the third 'branding icon' intarsia piece ready to for approval so that I can finish it. (remember how I was rejected after making 2 ranch brands but the person that requested them, paid me for them and then ordered a 3rd one ?). and last but not least, I finished an order for 17 ornaments for a persons fellow workers and an addition 7 ornaments of a military patch. so I feel pretty good about today and now I can get back to my regular Christmas list for my family members. Oh, by the way, I have 6 of those about half finished. Maybe I will get them done before Christmas....just maybe

Cancer is a difficult fight and many have fought the fight and won. I believe a lot of those that have won is largely because they have the attitude and will to beat it. So I hope there wonderful beads of courage help to support the battlel to win over this cancer. Nice thing to make for Kieran. Let him know that everyone here in the Village are pulling for him. it looks very fixable to me, but i would just cut another one. It would take less time to cut another then it would to glue it up again. If I was going to fix it, I would use the backer board solution that Roly suggested , Let us know what you decided to do, Matt

A friend of mine helped me for free with a money managment thing so i decided to make her a gift , since she refused to take the money that I felt I owed her. This is not the first time that I have made this intarsia problem I purchased form Judy at 'intarsia.com' but I like this one and it seemed like a perfect "THANK YOU" for her work, I will be giving it to her tomorrow. I used a woodburner to make the eye ball. This is the first time I have tried that and I enjoyed the outcome better than another piece of darker wood or trying to stain it.

Welcome back, Jim. I see that you first logged on last year. It is way more fun to become involved. I have noticed that several of our new members are quickly becoming active here since they joined a month or two ago. I hope that you too will become a regular from now on. it is interesting to get to know the people here and that is accomplished by coming back every day or two and makingit known by posting each time you do. This has become my favorite place on the internet , where I go first, each time I log onto the internet. I now have new friends all over the world, or at least they feel like friends. I too am a retirery ( not sure that is a word ) and I too have found scrolling to have replaced my love for fishing and moved fishing in second place, and have a reservour at the foot of my property. Glad you decided to post again and hope to see you on a regular basis from now on. The more we all post and comment , the better the Village becomes. Dick heppnerguy

that it nice to track down the designer of the pattern for me. I need to start writing it down when I begin to cut someone else's pattern. If I enjoy cutting it, I should at least do that much to give them the credit so..... THANK YOU CHRISTINA FOR THE FUN PATTERN THAT HAS BECOME A NEW DECORATION IN OUR HOUSE FOR YEARS TO COME. Thanks for the comments. it is fun to try and make something for someone that pleases them enough that they display it for all of their friends to see. sometimes it is a little challenging but always rewarding too.

I made a pet cross for my wife's dog who died a couple of years ago, a short time having her first puppy litter. Her dog's name was also "Sassy". I had to show her your pet cross. She said, "Oh they had a Sassy too". I have to say that I like the cross you made, much more than the one that I designed. Good job... I hope you posted the pattern. It I find it, I will downloaded it. If not, is it OK if I copy your pattern for future uses?

Thanks everyone.. it is so much fun to have a request that requires me to make a pattern. On my own, I do not do well thinking up patterns. It usually takes a challenge for me to be able to come up with something, I don't have the great imagination of Bob the scroller.

I hope the pattern will be shared. These are great ideas and you did a nice job cutting and the results are a very nice keepsake that other family members will want to keep and display in loving memory, a long time from now

I had a friend, who is a car buff, ask me to make some way for him to be able to display an instrument that he used to use when he did car rallies, many years ago. He wanted to have the brand of the item to be displayed too. This is what I came up with. The item is really nice and straight but looks like it is not cut square due to the angle I took the photo. I was trying to make it so the light was not reflecting off the front of the instrument. He was happy with it , so I am also happy with it.

My granddaughter ask me if I could take her boyfriend's army unit patchand make an ornament from it. so I gave it a shot and liked the outcome well enough that I did indeed cut an ornament for her. She has ordered 7 of them to give to their army friends.

I was looking throug the pattern library and came across this pattern and thought it would be fun to cut and would not take very long to do. Itis one more for the wife to drag out every Halloween when she decorates the house for that particular holliday. I forgot who the pattern maker is but 'Thanks for the fun pattern'.
